Coutts has launched the official Coutts Submitted by: Coutts Woman Thursday, 29 November 2007

29 November 2007, London: The newly developed Coutts cocktail launched at the Matthew Williamson event recently, to great acclaim. Created by Salvator Calabrese, one of the UK’s most celebrated tenders; the cocktail recipe (http://www.couttswoman.com/2007/november/news/coutts-cocktail.asp) was inspired by a unique part of Coutts’ history – the Chinese wallpaper in the boardroom. Dating back to 1794, the wallpaper was brought to London by Earl McCartney, leader of the first British embassy sent to China. The tea used in the Coutts cocktail is served at Coutts, Strand and has been specifically selected as it is produced in the province that is depicted in the wallpaper scenes. Gillian Chimes, Head of Sponsorship and Events at Coutts, and one of the first people to sample the new creation commented: "I am not usually a big fan of but I really enjoyed this one. It is such an unusual combination of flavours and it really makes you think about what might be in it. It also has a delicious aftertaste!” The cocktail is ideal for business women (http://www.couttswoman.com/2007/november/news/growing-business.asp) in London and will soon be appearing at Salvator’s bar, FIFTY London on St James Street. -ENDS- To make your own Coutts Cocktail, mix: •35ml Vodka •20ml Chinese Tea Great Red Cloak •20ml Raspberry Puree •15ml Benedictine •10ml fresh lime •2tsp of Monin Honey Shake all the ingredients with ice.
