On 20 March 2012 airberlin successfully joined the oneworld alliance.

We’re refurbishing some of our Boeing 777 and 767 fleet. It’s all part of our £5 billion investment in new aircraft, smarter cabins, elegant lounges and new technologies to make our customers’ journey altogether more comfortable. Both in the air and on the ground. On our shorthaul 767s, Club Europe seats will be refurbished with new foam interiors and new dark blue leather covers, while the Euro Traveller cabin will feature new seats based on the Boeing 777-300 World Traveller seat. In both cabins, the overhead entertainment screens will also be replaced with new larger 15 inch flat screens. You’ll notice a difference on some of the longhaul 767s too. NEWSBITES Additional Rotation between LHR – AMS As of 2 May 2012, British Airways will be launching an additional rotation between LHR and AMS on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. This new service is available for travel up to 31 August 2012. Flight details as follows:

Access to Galleries Club lounges for QF Club members

With immediate effect, QF Club members travelling on the routes listed below are permitted access to the BA Galleries Club lounges in LHR T3 and T5.

QF Club members are entitled to bring one guest into the lounge. The cardholder and guest must be travelling together.

Eligibility as follows: - QF Club members plus 1 guest travelling together on any BA or QF operated flight LHR to: BKK, HKG, MEL, SIN or SYD

- QF Club members plus 1 guest arriving together on any BA or QF operated flight from BKK, HKG, MEL, SIN or SYD and through connecting at LHR to any BA operated flight

- Access to the Arrivals Lounge is not permitted
