Canvass the November 3, 2020 General (Presidential) Election

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: WHEREAS, THE MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED IS THE CANVASSING AND CERTIFICATION ELECTION (PRESIDENTIAL) GENERAL THE OF RESULTS THE OF (“ELECTION”) HELD ON NOVEMBER 3, 2020, for the purpose of electing presidential electors, Members of Congress, members of Texas Legislature, district, state and County officers. Results of the Election have been gathered and tabulated by the Dallas County Elections Department (“DCED”), and are now delivered in a final canvass report to the Dallas County Commissioners Court (the Court) for certification as Attachment A: FINAL CANVASS RESULTS. The Court must also ratify the actions taken by the Elections Administrator required to administer the Election.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, Texas order, adjudge and decree that the returns for the November 3, 2020 General (Presidential) Election as stated herein and detailed specifically in Attachment A be certified and reported to the Secretary of State, in accordance with the Texas Election Code.
