We received many compliments for meaningfully using the Jerusalem motif in the Frankel’s 2 Sanctuary and The Cohn Family Welcome Center. After reviewing many options for The Donor Recognition Wall, it became obvious that nothing will be more appropriate (and beautiful) than 5 keeping our 3,000 year-old motif.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the donors and invite you to come and find your name on the Wall.

I also want to remind you that we designed the Recognition Wall with additional room for future 1 donors at all levels. See Debbie Baseman or me for dedication opportunities. 4

14 www.templebetham.com Looking for a Few Good Men/Women!

Attention: There is a very important Temple Beth Am Board of Directors election coming up that will provide our future direction. So, are you ready to step up and lead?

If yes, then you might be just who we are looking for to be … NOMINATED for the TEMPLE BETH AM BOARD of DIRECTORS

Here is what you must be dying to know … What are the qualifications for being a Board Member? You need to be a member in good standing of Temple Beth Am.

What are the duties? Attend monthly meetings, come to Services, work on a committee, usher during Services, give out B’nei Mitzvah gifts, vote on things like programs, contracts, committees, budgets, support, set strategies, and keep a watchful eye over the Temple

What is the election process? 1. Let us know that you want to be considered to be on the Board of Directors. 2. Attend a ½ hour confidential, Nominating Committee interview. 3. If selected by the Nominating Committee and the Board, be balloted to the Congregation at the Annual Meeting. 4. Get elected, put on your official Board name tag, and start all that leading.

If you want to be considered for nomination to the Board, or if you have any questions about the Board qualifications, duties, or nominating process – please give me a call at 561.262.5598, or email me, Bruce Cohen, at [email protected], or let the office know. Interviews will likely begin after the first of the year and close in January. B’Shalom and thank you.

A big Thank You to Dr. Heidi Cherwony for her very informative workshop on The Kindergarten Dilemma at the Temple Beth Am Mishpacha/Family Center. Dr. Cherwony stressed that as parents we can often be overwhelmed by all the schooling choices in our area. She focused on the importance of looking at “the WHOLE child” and the options for schools that would provide the best environment for YOUR particular child. Most importantly, remember that children need to be children. Read to them and allow them to use their imaginations and be creative in their own way! www.mindandbodydoctor.com
