Barbara Dapper Travers June 4, 1937 - July 14, 2021 Barbara “Barbie” Dapper Travers, 84, passed away peacefully at her Laguna Beach home due to complications of a stroke, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Fortunately, in the days leading up to her passing, she was able to spend time with her children and many of her grandchildren, sharing memories and many laughs. Barbie was born at Wilshire Hospital, Los Angeles, in 1937, daughter of Jane Ann and Vernon Dapper. Barbie grew up in Glendale and La Canada Flintridge and went to John Muir High School. While attending UCLA to get her teaching degree, she joined the Pi Beta Phi Sorority and the Song Leading Team, which she lead her senior year, and met many of her lifelong friends and future husband, Gary Davidson. They moved to Laguna Beach in the mid 1960’s and had 4 children. Barbie married David Hirschler in 1975 and gained 4 daughters - a very ‘Brady Bunch’ situation with her 4 children. After David’s passing in 2007, Barbie married Robert Travers, a friend from junior high school. They spent the next 14 years between Napa and Laguna Beach. Barbie was very active in her local community and with local charities, such as The Adoption Guild. Barbie loved the beach, entertaining family and friends and traveling, especially to the south of France, Italy and Hawaii. Barbie is survived by her spouse, Bob, her brothers, Brian and David Dapper, her children, Eric Davidson(Joanie), Peter Davidson(Angela), Jana Day(Dan) and Katie Halperin(Glenn) and 10 grandchildren - Danielle Duley and Joanie Davidson, SELL SELL Taylor, Nicole and Gary Davidson, Eliza and Danny Day and your stuff your stuff Holly, Harrison and Lucy Halperin. through through In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Adoption Guild of Southern California at P.
