When Henry W. Savage of Boston goes to the trouble to produce a musical play, or one of any other classification, it is at least worth while, and when the play is empha- sized with an undoubted successful verdict, it generall}^ becomes a classic of its kind. For instance, ^The Prince of Pilsen’^ and “The Merry Widow.” Such a future is before “Little Boy Blue,” the joyous operetta, which Mr. Savage is now offering Boston theatre-goers at the Majestic Theatre, the fourth week beginning Monday next, October 28th. Replete with the romance of the Scottish Highlands, the charming story, written around the famous Gainsborough portrait, “Boy Blue,” and adorned with the lilting melodies of the famous Viennese composer, Henri Bereny, “Little Boy Blue” enjoyed a season of six months at the Lyric Theatre, New York, last year. Mr. Savage will offer here the entire original production, and the original cast, including Otis Harlan, Gertrude Bryan, and Maude Odell. There will also be the lovely bunch of Highland Daisies, and the orchestra will be augmented to grand-opera proportions. The usual Wednesday and Saturday matinees are given.
