2 3 The Series were created in 2001 by GT Sport, in . The European Formula Open evolved from a national F3 championship into a continental series and one of the most interesting F3-based championship, with the best return on investment in the category

4 In 2016, the series will enter its 16th edition, having enjoyed a growing success in terms of quantity and quality of entries, interest raised, high level of competitiveness on the track and an always broader television coverage at international level.

The 2016 season will include eight rounds, all in top level circuits, with F.1 certification, among the most prestigious in the continent.

The Euroformula Open shares its event meetings with the International GT Open, and other top racing series, such as the SEAT León Eurocup, the European Radical Masters

The Euroformula Open is accessible to drivers with International licence (type C) and of 16 years of age.

AWARDS TYPOLOGY

An Overall Champion title is delivered at the end of the season to the driver having scored most net points.

DRIVER & AWARD DRIVER & AWARD Points system: 25 -18 - 15 - 12 - 10 - 8 -6 - 4 - 2 -1 to the first 10 classified; 1 point for Pole Position, 1 point for fastest lap - net total is based on 14 best race results.

A team’s Trophy to the team having scored most points.

A Rookie Trophy and podium are established on a race basis, open to drivers debut- ing in the series in the on-going season.

Thursday Private Practice

In four meetings during trhe season, Thursday Private Practices shall be programmed. The costs depend on the circuit and duration. Approx 5 hours From 1500 € The price includes: Engine Assistance in the circuit Spare Parts truck fee
