Under the high patronage of the President of the Republic and the honorary presidency of the Grand Chancellor of the and H.A.I. Princess Napoleon

Ladies and gentlemen, dear Phalerist friends,

It is a great pleasure for me to be able to invite you again to Paris for the XIV European Conference of Phaleristics Societies! We thought we would meet again in May 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic decided otherwise. My heart goes out to all your relatives and friends who have suffered from this terrible virus. Naturally, you are all asking yourselves the question: will we be able to meet with around 150 people in complete safety? I can assure you: we are taking all the necessary steps to ensure that this event, which we are all looking forward to, is not spoiled. Barrier gestures will be respected; measures will be taken during our meals and other meetings so that a certain distance is respected, without harming the traditional conviviality of our meetings; and of course, we will strictly respect all the measures that will be required on this date by the French authorities. Our XIV Conference must be both an occasion to show the pleasure of meeting again, and a moment to share knowledge and discoveries. We have built a programme that puts the collector at the center of our meeting. But we are also convinced that bringing together collectors, museum curators and chancellery representatives will enrich our exchanges. We look forward to seeing you!

Vincent Hollard Chairman

Registrations

For logistical reasons (bus and restaurant capacity), the number of registrations is limited to around 150. 6 of them are reserved for COMS members (China) and 6 others for OMSA members (United States), if they are allowed to travel.

For those who have already registered, a request for confirmation of registration will be sent to them at the end of April 2021; if they wish, they may change their dates of stay. A corrected financial statement will then be drawn up, with a call for funds for the remaining sums due or reimbursement of the overpayment. For those who do not wish to confirm their registration or are unable to do so, the amounts already paid will be reimbursed in full.

For those who still wish to register, the attached registration form must be completed and sent to the organizers at [email protected] by 15 May 2021 at the latest. As soon as we receive your registration, we will send you a confirmation of registration and an invoice within 48 hours. (Please check your mailbox, including junk mail). Payment in full will then be required within eight days. A confirmation of payment will then be sent to you. Any registration not confirmed by the payment of the sums due on 31 May 2021 at the latest will be automatically cancelled.

Protection against COVID

It is recommended that participants get vaccinated before their trip.

All measures necessary or required by the authorities will be applied, both by the organizers and by the places we will visit.

Participants will be asked to spontaneously apply the barrier measures: physical contact is not recommended, physical distancing, wearing a mask, use of hydroalcoholic gel during activities, in buses, etc.

Budget

Paris is unfortunately an expensive city and September 2021 promises to be a very busy month. Nevertheless, we have negotiated the best possible package of services described. The participation fee covers hotel reservations for two nights, two lunches and one dinner, the gala evening, bus transfers, entrance fees or guides to museums. Individual payments for alcoholic and other beverages may be required in some restaurants.

As registrants are expected to take part in all activities, no discounts will be granted. Exceptionally, and upon the specific request, members from Paris may attend only the gala dinner, as the number of seats is not limited.

The cost to participants, for those not yet registered, including two nights in a hotel, is €852 for two persons and €536 for a single person. For those living in Paris who do not require a

12 hotel room, the cost is €270 per person. The cost of the gala evening for participants from Paris is €200 per person.

According to the general terms and conditions of sale of the service providers, and the non- refundable advance payments made by SAMNLHOC, cancellation of the registration before 31 May 2021 may only give rise to a partial refund; except in cases of force majeure, no refund will be made in the event of cancellation after 31 May.

Fees must be paid by a bank transfer in euros to the SAMNLHOC account or by PayPal transfer in euros using the "Send money to friends" procedure.
