RESEARCH EXPERIENCE Mpala Research Center, Kenya | University of Wyoming, Department of Zoology Project Manager January 2018-April 2019 Managing a team of three principal investigators, a postdoc, two graduate , and three Kenyan field assistants. Conducting independent research on how invasive ants and mutualism disruption alter nest success of species of weaver birds, with intent to submit a manuscript to a peer-reviewed journal over the next 3-6 months. Experience maintaining large demographic databases, running camera trap grids, manipulating drone acquired imagery, implementing soil sampling for texture and nutrient analysis, conducting arthropod abundance and distribution surveys, running herbivore-exclusion experiments with intent to ascertain biomass production. Principal Investigators: Jacob Goheen, Todd Palmer, Corinna Riginos

New York University, Department of Neuroscience Assistant Research Scientist 2017 Investigated protein synthesis pathways affected by Fragile X Syndrome (one of the leading causes of autism spectrum disorders). Conducted research on neural cell cultures to pinpoint effectiveness of various drugs that disrupt effects of Fragile X. Gained experience maintaining cell cultures, extracting neurons from mice, carrying out western blotting experiments, designing neuronal assays meant to test the effectiveness of different drug doses. Research Advisor: Eric Klann

Princeton University, Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Undergraduate Thesis Researcher 2017 Conducted research on spatial patterning of mounds by multiple termite species. Aided in the development and implementation of competition assays and foraging distance studies. Acquired spatial data and utilized GIS software to create maps of multiple species. Implemented R software code to conduct spatial patterning analyses of mounds. Research Advisor: Corina Tarnita

Princeton University, Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Undergraduate Researcher Assistant 2016 Supported the research of the canine sequencing project, which aims to discover the hybridization landscape of North American canid species. Conducted DNA extraction and ran PCRs on canine samples to be later identified. Research Advisor: Bridgett vonHoldt
