The Hillsdale Baseball/Softball Association HBSA will host a ® , & ™ Competition for area youth. There is no cost to the participants.

• Date: Saturday April, 27th • Time: 10 AM - NOON • Location: Memorial Field, Hillsdale NJ o Located on Hillsdale Avenue two blocks east of Kinderkamack Road

Pitch, Hit & Run™ (PHR) is the official skills competition of Major League Baseball®. This one-day grassroots program is designed to provide youngsters with an opportunity to participate in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball/softball skills. The players will have the chance to advance through four levels of competition, including championships at Major League ballparks and National Finals at the 2013 MLB™ All-Star Game®.

Boys and girls will be divided into four divisions by age: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12 and 13/14.

The individual Pitching, Hitting, Running and All-Around Champions in each age and gender group at the Local Competition will advance to the Sectional Level of Competition.

All participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate and have their parent or guardian fill a registration/waiver form prior to the start of the competition. These forms will be available at the competition site.

Levels Of Competition • Local Competition - Mid March-Early/Mid May o All-Around, Pitching, Hitting and Running Champions advance from EACH age and gender group. • Sectional Competition - Mid May-Early June** o Each Sectional is part of an MLB team’s geographic market. o All-Around Champions in each age and gender group are ELIGIBLE to advance. o The top 3 scores in each age and gender group among the Sectional All Around Champions within each MLB geographic market will advance to the Team Championships. • MLB Team Championship - June (weekends) o Held in all 30 Major League Ballparks. o Participants must place first in their age group to be ELIGIBLE to advance. The top 3 scores in each age and gender group out of all 30 MLB Team Championships will advance to the National Finals. • National Finals - MLB All-Star Week o National Finalists will receive an all-expense paid trip to the All-Star Game in New York, NY. Finalists will participate in an array of festivities upon arrival, including a PHR Welcome Reception, MLB Brunch and All- Star FanFest. Finalists will compete on the field prior to shagging fly balls during the Derby and attending the All-Star Game!
