Estepp was tabbed NCCAA National Coach of the Year. • Estepp’s inaugural campaign in 2008-09 saw him guide the Yellow Jackets to a 27-4 overall record and a share of the American Mideast Conference title with a 12-1 league mark. Cedarville was ranked as high as No. 1 in the country in NAIA Division II, finished in a tie for the No. 2 spot in the final poll, and advanced to the National Tournament. • Estepp was voted the 2008-09 AMC Coach of the Year as well as the NCCAA Midwest Region Coach of the Year. • Estepp took on his current position after serving as an assistant coach for eight years under former head coach Ray Slagle. He played a key role during Slagle's successful tenure with the Yellow Jackets from 2000 to 2008. Cedarville won 177 games during that timespan, averaged 24.1 wins over the last seven seasons, won three AMC titles, and two AMC Tournament championships. • The Yellow Jackets made five trips to the NAIA Division II National Tournament where they never lost in the first round. They advanced to the semifinals once, the quarterfinals twice, and to the second round twice. • This is the first head coaching position for Estepp, who is a 1997 graduate of Cedarville College with a degree in physical education. • Estepp also has a master’s degree in education from Cedarville University that he earned in 2008. Pat and his wife, Melanie, reside in Clifton with their three children.
