Joseph Sabbio makes dean’s list Lynn Y Shining Stars

LYNN — This was her son’s first time making the dean’s list, Rhonda Sabbio tells us in an email, fol- lowed by a smiley face. Anthony Joseph Sabbio earned the distinction for the fall 2016 semester. He graduated from North Shore Technical High School in 2014 and is now a sophomore at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. The 21-year-old, who enjoys playing his guitar, was not aware that he made the dean’s list until he got a letter in the mail, his mother said. “You have earned this distinction through a combina- tion of talent, hard work and a commitment to academ- ic excellence,” Cynthia Farr Brown, vice president of academic affairs at MCLA, wrote in a letter to Sabbio. “Your success bodes well for you not only at (MCLA) but for your future,” the letter says.
