BOROUGH OF TRAFFORD (VARIOUS ROADS, TRAFFORD PARK) (TEMPORARY ONE-WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020 – Ref TPL 0135

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to the provisions of Article 42 of The Transport for Greater Manchester (Light Rapid Transit System) (Trafford Park Extension) Order 2016, Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) intends to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order, the effect of which is to introduce one way traffic working as follows:-

One Way operating overnight between the hours of 8pm and 6am Ref Road Name Direction of Travel and length 1 Trafford Wharf Road, From its junction with Warren Bruce Road to a point 50 Trafford Park metres east of its junction with Elevator Road where the tram track crosses the carriageway, a westerly direction. 2 Trafford Wharf Road, From its junction with Warren Bruce Road to a point 50 Trafford Park metres west of its junction with Warren Bruce Road, an easterly direction. 3 Warren Bruce Road, Trafford Its entire length, a southerly direction Park

The reason for the Order is to enable the tram tests in completion of the Metrolink Trafford Park line extension works.

The alternative routes for traffic will be for:-

1 and 3 above (Warren Bruce Road) for access to Waterside will be via Warren Bruce Road southerly towards Village Circle, Wharfside Way, White City Circle, Trafford Road, Trafford Wharf Road, Victoria Place, Sir Alex Ferguson Way and Trafford Wharf Road.

2 and 3 above (Trafford Wharf Road and Warren Bruce Road) for access to Trafford Wharf Road west, will be via Warren Bruce Road southerly towards Village Circle, Trafford Park Road, Churchill Way.

The order will come into force at 8pm on Friday 3rd January 2020 and be operative as and when required to that effect on each night between the hours of 8pm and 6am until and including Sunday 1st March 2020. Note enforcement Ref 1 and 2 will not occur at the same time.
