The Record Mirror Dusty files for 1966 seem very threadbare they cannot be comprehensive as 1966 was surely Dusty's best year ever, at least Chartwise. Sorry folks.

I Love Goin' Back to pieces, but to be fair the reviewer was right insofar in saying that it would only just make the top ten - I wasn't there in 1966 but in retrospect Goin' Back must have been so different, Just so gorgeous, so ahead of it's time so perhaps the reviewer couldn't find the right words to describe it and maybe the public weren't quite ready for it's awesomeness, and maybe the reason why it wasn't released as a single in The States????? also maybe In the UK the British were probably expecting You Don't Have To Say You Love Me Part 2???.

All of her interviews are so telling - from the coy answers she's known for to the expressions she uses. I can always hear her voice and I'm so jealous of the interviewer. Getting the house with Norma, getting to sing whatever she wanted on her own show, riding the wave of YDHTSYLM - She always sounds so happy-go-lucky in everything from spring/summer of '66. And the phrase "I don't believe in cramping people's style." Haha. So far ahead of her time.
I love that she's up in the top 3 best dressed with Elvis and Cliff Richard. But of course! Unrelated, but kind of related side note: Sir Cliff Richard just played a FREE show here in Brooklyn last weekend after Morrissey (in classic Morrissey form) bailed from headlining the show. http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2 ... nce_5.html (http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2014/06/morrissey_cance_5.html) Barclays Center is only a few stops from my place, and because of the last-minute free factor it was chaos on the trains and in that neighborhood.

Anything after the 70's I'm lost, with one exception of course. Great music!
