Groups. • Members of these SHGs have been conglomerated meaningfully to run livelihood promotion activities like, fishery, Duck keeping, pig and poultry farming 5. at village level . 3 LIVELIHOOD PROMOTION / Income Generation INTEGRATED Natural TRIBAL Resource DEVELOPMENT Management Socio- SHARE Economic INSTITUTION Empowerment BUILDING of Leprosy Affected Community WOMEN/YOUTH & CHILD Empowerment DEVELOPMENT 4 Special Central Assistance to Tribal Sub Plan The livelihoods of the rural poor are directly dependent on environmental resources — land, water, forests-- as water stress increases, groundwater levels recede, soil fertility declines and forest habitats disappear. Thus WATER remains the most essential & crucial part in developing tattered village economy. SHARE is currently implementing SCA to TSP scheme in 23 tribal dominated villages under Potka block in East Singhbhum district. Under this scheme, 71 New ponds,6 Drying platform, 6 Toilets and 6 Birsa Udyamita Kendras have been constructed. Construction of some of the new ponds is still undergoing in ST villages. The target ST beneficiaries have started earning from the water bodies by doing fishery and vegetable cultivation activities5 to ensure income, livelihood and their own empowerment.
