7 Things about Google Glass 1 - What is it? Google Glass is a computer that includes an optical display with a head mount, touch sensitive pad, a camera and a speaker. You’re known as an artist and a healer, can you tell us how your career unfolded and how these two areas of talent emerged? I’ve always liked drawing and painting since ever I can remember. I might have gone to art school had I been born in a different family, but I was born in a family of academics. So, it felt like academia was the thing to do. My mother worked with Jean Piaget and my father was a mathematician who also came to work with Jean Piaget because Piaget wanted to understand how children understand numbers. And he thought it would be a good thing to have mathematicians in his team—so that’s how my parents met and how I came along. I always wanted to become a biologist. Back then, I was young and naïve and wanted to save the Antarctica, and the Rain Forest … My career as a biologist didn’t quite evolve as I had hoped it would. -

Our hybrid cloud architecture for this system is effectively a CDN in reverse. It achieves scalability by decentralizing the cloud computing infrastructure using VM-based cloudlets. Based on time, location and content, privacy sensitive information is automatically removed from the video. This process, which we refer to as denaturing, is executed in a user-specific Virtual Machine (VM) on the cloudlet. Users can perform content-based searches on the total catalog of denatured videos. Our experiments reveal the bottlenecks for video upload, denaturing, indexing and content-based search and provide valuable insight on how parameters such as frame rate and resolution impact the system scalability. The proposed system was tested in De La Salle University (DLSU) - Manila Campus, where 30 participants (15 DLSU and 15 Non-DLSU) were invited to utilize the proposed system navigating from an entry point to a set destination.
