WHITE WINES
PROTECTED DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN: RÍAS BAIXAS, located in the northwest of Spain, Galicia, bets on the native varieties, among them “albariño”, the mainstay of this designation. The use of these varieties lets it become a reference point in the world’s white wines.
PROTECTED DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN: RIBEIRO, located in the northwest area of the province of Ourense, is the oldest designation of Galicia. Climate is the key factor that determines the style of the- se wines. They are usually fresh, fine and elegant. What makes them outstanding is the aroma of fresh, ripe fruit as well as flower, honey, aromatic herbs and balsamic scents.
PROTECTED DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN, RIBEIRA SACRA; the designation of origin was created in 1996; it comprises the south of Lugo and the north of Ourense, by the banks of the Miño and Sil Rivers. In this area, red wines are the vast majority but its white wines are very interesting. They are usually fresh and fruity wines but at the same time, they are full-bodied and have intense aromas.
PROTECTED DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN, MONTERREI; this designation comprises several areas of the province of Ourense. As a result of its soil and climate, this designation produces fresh wines with an intense fruity aroma, signifi- cantly full-bodied and with good alcoholic strength.
PROTECTED DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN, VALDEORRAS; its production area is located in the northeast area of the province of Ourense, which is characterised for its Medi- terranean- oceanic climate, with cold winters and warm summers, ideal for the production of first quality dry wines. ROSÉ WINES
