Rogue attacks the Scarlet Witch and they fight until they both discover the lobotomized body of Professor X. Red Skull arrives and reveals that he has fused his brain with Professor X's brain. Red Skull also reveals that he is a clone of the original Red Skull that was created in and held in cryogenic stasis in the event that Germany lost World War II. Using Professor X's telepathy, Red Skull provokes ordinary citizens of New York into joining the S-Men in a mass assault against potential mutants and force Scarlet Witch and Rogue to allow themselves to be attacked, even managing to take control of Thor after Red Skull has Honest John take the form of Odin to manipulate him. However, Red Skull is unable to completely control Uncanny Avengers: Avenge the Earth Volume 4 America, and an attack against him disrupts his powers long enough for Rogue and Scarlet Witch to break free. As the Scarlet Witch fights the mind-controlled Thor, Red Skull once again tries to tempt Captain America into joining his anti-mutant crusade. With the people around them free, Havok tells them that the attacks on the mutants wasn't their fault. The Scarlet Witch attempts to befriend Rogue, who refuses, stating that she is joining the team to honour Xavier and keep an eye on Wanda. Thor tells Wolverine that he hasn't failed Professor X's dream. The team makes their debut as the Avengers Unity Squad which also contains SunfireWaspand Wonder Man as the team's latest recruits during a press conference which is then crashed by a resurrected Grim Reaperwho attacks the Avengers Unity Squad while claiming that he is now unable to die. During the fight, Rogue absorbs some of Wonder Man's powers and seemingly punches Grim Reaper harder than normal which apparently kills him. In AD at a Scandinavian inn, Thor is in a bar fight when he is attacked by Apocalypsewho acts to safeguard the future due to information given him by Rama-Tut. Thor finds Uncanny Avengers: Avenge the Earth Volume 4 Apocalypse is wearing Celestial -built armor that can withstand the powers of a god. Thor returns to Asgard and demands an audience with his father Odinbut when Odin asks him to take the high road, Thor turns to Loki for help. Loki leads him to a hidden scroll in Odin's library which could bless a weapon to pierce Celestial armor, only for "Loki" to later be revealed as Kang the Conqueror. Thor returns to London and slays the 11th Century Apocalypse's version of the Horsemen of Apocalypse. He then breaks into Apocalypse's craft and manages to cut his armor open with his axe Jarnbjorn, but Apocalypse escapes. Odin warns that one day this act will cause great calamity. In the present day, Kang appears at the final resting place of Baron Mordo in Brazil, and takes Jarnbjorn. Havok clears Rogue's name with S. D for killing Uncanny Avengers: Avenge the Earth Volume 4 Reaper and has her start an investigation into Magneto. While Wasp shows Havok her clothing line to promote mutants, a Celestial ship controlled by the Apocalypse Twins crashes into S. Sunfire lets Captain America escape while Thor flies towards the wreckage. Thor breaks pieces of the falling wreckage, and with the help of Sunfire, prevents casualties.

(Continue on page 11) 1 From the desk of Fred Fox, Councilman, East Segment, White Shield, ND 58540 Hello, Elders and Community Members, The fall season is here, and the school has started for White Shield. The Segment office sponsored a back to school bash August 20th. The office sponsored a lunch catered by Kyles Katering, Haircuts by Fresh Cuts Salon from New Town, and $100 gift cards for shoes either from Scheels or Foot Locker. Cross-Country, volleyball, and football season have started so don’t forget to support our teams this fall. The school season began in the old school, but we have a move-in date for the new school for October. Currently, the old school is partially packed, but the school administration, teachers, and students are ready for the move-in. The School Board will schedule a grand opening shortly, and we will get a notice out to the community. I would like to also send my condolences to the families that have lost loved ones and family members who have loved ones in the hospital that are sick. Also, a lot of community members have loved ones that are in treatment. Let’s not forget them in our prayers. We have the Arikara & Pawnee reunion scheduled for September 27th - 30th, I believe the list is pretty much set, and the schedule of events is established.

Other Aliases: The Living Loa, "Chicken-head". Place of Birth: Presumably somewhere in Puerto Rico. Marital Status: Single. Known Relatives: None. Group Affiliation: Head of his own voodoo cult. Base of Operations: A sugar/cocaine plantation in Puerto Rico. First Post-Reboot Appearance: CAPTAIN MARVEL # History: The history of the drug supplier and cult leader known as the Black Talon is currently unrevealed. At some point in the past, he learned the art of voodoo and put that talent to work in raising zombies to work a farm – in reality a Colonial-era plantation he either inherited or acquired – where he grew marijuana and coca plants alongside sugar cane (the plantation's legitimate crop). At the same time, he began a cult of voodoo worshippers who revered him as a "living loa" (the "loa" being the spirits or gods – the line between them is often blurred – invoked by voodoo practitioners.). In time, he became one of the largest suppliers of marijuana and cocaine in the Caribbean, with contacts in Miami, Havana, San Juan, and New Orleans. Black Talon's operations first came into conflict with the current generation of superheroes when a rocket launched by NASA carrying a payload of a powerful nerve gas to be disposed of by being sent into the sun was sabotaged and landed off the coast from his plantation. This brought him into conflict with Captain Marvel, who was under orders from his superior, Colonel Yon-Rogg, to release the nerve gas on a human settlement (see Captain Marvel; Yon-Rogg).

    Apocalypse The past history of En Sabah Nur was very much similar to his Earth-616 counterpart, until the day David Haller (better known as Legion) travelled back in time. Legion wished to murder Erik Lehnsherr, in the hopes of changing history so that his father, Charles Xavier, could succeed in his goal of creating peace between humans and mutants. David was opposed by the X- Men of Earth-616, who succeeded in halting the assassination of Lehnsherr, but resulted in the death of Xavier. Their battle in Israel, years before super heroes such as the Fantastic Four and the Avengers would come to be, inspired Apocalypse to begin his conquest of the Earth and execute his belief in survival of the fittest decades before he had done so in the mainstream reality. In the end, David accidentally killed his father, changing the timeline and erasing David and the X-Men (with the exception of the time displaced Bishop) from existence. Lehnsherr went on to become Magneto and vowed to continue Charles's dream and form his own team of X-Men. During this time, Apocalypse sired a son named Nemesis. Apocalypse's first attempt at conquest was an attack on Cape Citadel, sending his Horsemen to take control of the nuclear missile facility for the intent to launch the nuclear weapons to decimate the human population. This plot was foiled by Magneto and his team of X-Men, when Apocalpyse attempted to kill the X-Men with his ship's weapons, Magneto stepped in and drove him and his Horsemen away.
