B. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR SENIOR COLLEGE PROGRAM (e.g., minimum GPA, audition/portfolio): Prior to admission to the nursing major, Registered Nurse students must have: ƒ a college course in Chemistry (CHE 17) and ƒ a course in Human Growth and Development (PSY 40) ƒ earned sixty (60) college credits with a minimum grade point average of 2.5 ƒ earned an associate degree in nursing from the City University of New York; and current licensure in New York State.

1. BCC students / graduates must first submit a CUNY Transfer Application and be admitted into Lehman College. Students will not be considered for admission to the nursing program until they have first been admitted to Lehman College. CUNY Transfer Applications are available at the Transfer Center (RBSC 302) 2. All pre-requisite courses must be completed prior to admission to the nursing program. 3. Complete the attached application for admission. Students must list all education since high school, including number of credits earned, major, dates of attendance and degree earned. Completed applications can be returned to the Department of Nursing at any time. 4. Official transcripts must be sent to the Department of Nursing directly from each educational institution attended since high school. (These are in addition to the transcripts submitted to Lehman College and CUNY Admissions.) Lehman College Nursing Department T-3 Building, 201 250 Bedford Park Blvd. West Bronx, NY 10468 Students taking pre-requisite courses at another institution during the spring or summer terms must submit those transcripts and grades prior to their admission being processed.

Associate in Applied Science Degree from Bronx Community College.

Bronx Community College graduates with the Associate Degree in Nursing will receive 60 credits toward the Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Lehman College. In addition, they will be deemed to have met all lower division general education requirements at Lehman College. Students must meet the New York State requirement of 60 credits in designated liberal arts and sciences courses for a B.S. degree

E. Articulation Agreement Follow-Up Procedures 1. Procedures for reviewing, up-dating, modifying or terminating agreement: Bronx Community College Nursing and Allied Health Department Chair, Lois Augustus, and Lehman Nursing Department Chair, Alicia Georges, will review implementation of the agreement once a year to ensure that students are adequately informed of the program and to identify issues requiring attention.

2. Procedures for evaluating agreement, e.g., tracking the number of students who transfer under the articulation agreement and their success: After transfer into the Lehman Nursing major, the performance of Bronx Community College students will be tracked using the CUNY Institutional Research Data Base. Lehman will inform BCC about the academic progress of transfer students. Additionally, these students will be surveyed after graduation from Lehman to determine educational and occupational experience and success, and Lehman will share this information with BCC.

The Lehman College Nursing Major provides advisement to all students entering the major.

3. Sending and receiving college procedures for publicizing agreement, e.g., college catalogs, transfer advisers, Websites, etc.:

Notice of articulation will be placed in the respective catalogues, recruiting brochures, websites, and on the CUNY TIPPS website.

Respective transfer and academic advisers will be informed and provided with copies of this agreement.

The Lehman Department of Nursing will coordinate efforts with Lehman’s Admissions Office to make certain that materials are sent with recruitment officers for BCC’s biannual Transfer Day event.
