After a warm welcome & brief introduction, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. Stay two nights in Delhi.

DAY 2 I OLD & NEW DELHI (B) Your tour begins in Delhi, India’s capital city that sports a rich history spanning over 2,000 years. After a short briefing, head out on a tour of Old Delhi, the capital of the Mughal dynasty between the 16th and 19th centuries. Arrive in Old Delhi and visit Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in year 1650 AD and completed in the year 1656 AD. From here we board our cycle rickshaws for a tour of Chandni Chowk. Here you will get a glimpse into an old world lifestyle slowly fading from Delhi before learning about the history of the Sikh religion at a Gurudwara. Continue on to the Raj Ghat – a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, set within a beautiful park and then drive past the India Gate and Government Secretariat Buildings on the way to Qutub Minar, and historic five-storied brick minaret.

DAY 3 I DELHI – AGRA (B) Today, you will travel by road to Agra, home to the Taj Mahal. On arrival, check-in to your hotel and have the remainder of the day free at your leisure for independent discovery or opt to join an optional activity. Once in Agra, there’s the option of visiting the Agra fort and North India’s oldest Christian cemetery or to experience a live cultural show that depicts the saga of love and a memorable journey into history. DAY 4 I AGRA – JAIPUR (B) Early morning, visit Taj Mahal (closed on Friday). It is fitting to see this extraordinary monument by the first light of the day as its exemplary beauty is awe-inspiring and will create an unforgettable memory. Afterwards, drive to Jaipur visiting an historic and picturesque stepwell en route. On arrival in Jaipur, you will check-in to the hotel and have the evening free at your leisure. After a day of exploration, you may wish to head to a local cinema to experience the glamour of a Bollywood file (optional, please enquire). Stay two nights in Jaipur.

DAY 5 I JAIPUR (B/D) Visit the mountain fortress of Amber. High above the city, the towers and domes of the Amber Fort are reminiscent of scenes from some fairy tale. Later, take a guided city tour starting with the observatory, Jantar Mantar, and then head to the City Palace Museum, which houses a magnificent collection of artefacts, tapestries, miniature paintings, and arms of the maharajas of Jaipur. You will explore the City Palace and have a photo stop to see the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). This evening, enjoy a traditional meal with folk dance at a local restaurant in town.

DAY 6 I JAIPUR - DELHI – DEPARTURE (B) The morning is free at your leisure for independent discovery. For those heading home, you will be met at the hotel in the afternoon for transportation back to Delhi and to the airport. For those taking an optional post tour, you will be met at the hotel to start your trip.
