“OK! Let’s give it to ’em right now!” screamed Jack Ely of the Kingsmen into this microphone at the start of the guitar solo for “Louie Louie.” With its simple song structure, three-chord attack and forbidden teenage appeal, this single song inspired legions of kids in garages across America to pick up guitars and ROCK. “Louie Louie” has become a touchstone in the evolution of rock’n’roll, and with over 1500 recorded cover versions to date, its influence on teenage culture and the future DIY punk underground can’t be underestimated. Ely’s vocals were so rough and unintelligible that some more puritanical listeners interpreted the lyrics as being obscene and complained. This rumor led several radio stations to ban the song and the FBI even launched an investigation. All of this only fueled the popularity of the song, which rocketed up the charts in late 1963, imprinting this grunge ur-message onto successive generations of youth, by way of the Sonics, Stooges, MC5, New York Dolls, Patti Smith, The Clash, Black Flag, and others, all of whom amplified and rebroadcast its powerful sonic meme with their own recorded versions. NEUMANN U-47 MICROPHONE, CA. 1961 “There was this great record, ‘Louie Louie,’ by a band “I was in seventh grade and ritually would watch Hugh from the Pacific Northwest called The Kingsmen. I bought Downs and Barbara Walters with my mother on the Today their album and it was a great influence on me because Show. The Who did sort of an early lip synch video of they were a real professional band, y’know?” ‘I Can See For Miles’ and then they interviewed Townshend – Wayne Kramer, MC5 and Daltrey. -

[Transcribed from the movie by Tara Carreon] Kurt & Courtney [Nick Broomfield] At 8:40 a.m. on April 8, 1994, Kurt Cobain's body was found. He had been killed by a shotgun wound to the head. The verdict was suicide. The medical examiner in Kurt's case knew Courtney well before she got married to Kurt. In fact, they were pretty good friends and used to go out barhopping together. This should be reason for someone else to handle the examination. Shortly after this potential conflict of interest was revealed, he left the King County medical examiner's office and took a job in a small town in Florida. Coincidence? I think not. -- http://www.angelfire.com/nv/boddah/facts.html The Seattle medical examiner who examined Cobain's body, Dr. Nicholas Hartshorne, insisted that all of the evidence pointed to a suicide. However, many have questioned his opinion because he once promoted concerts for Nirvana, to which he replied, "It's leap of faith, that someone who once promoted concerts for bands would now risk his job, prison, and public disgrace, in order to cover up a murder. -

20 Years Since Nirvana¶S Smells Like Teen Spirit
20 Years Since Nirvana¶s Smells Like Teen Spirit ...it was 1991, I was 12 yrs old. I heard Smells Like Teen Spirit on the radio while visiting my Dad. It blew me away; I was hooked from day one, bought Nevermind, and then bought Bleach shortly afterwards, amazing music. Nirvana made me put my GNR album down, and opened our world to a new sound. The sound of grunge....Seattle was now on the map, forever. I still believe to this day, Kurt did not kill himself that cold April morning in '94. I've done so much research into this. I still follow Private Investigator Tom Grant on www.cobaincase.com. Eldon Hoke AKA El Duce was offered money from Courtney Love to kill Kurt and make it look like a suicide, and since El Duce, from the band "The Mentors" spoke out about his candid offer, he's dead. Pushed into an oncoming train in Riverside CA, approximately seven days after giving his statement during an interview to Nick Broomfield. Nick was filming a documentary about Kurt, Nirvana and everything in between, called "Kurt & Courtney." Not only did El Duce talk on camera of what Courtney wanted, he passed a polygraph, confirming he was telling the truth. A man named "Allen Wrench" was involved, El Duce slipped up at the end of the interview, saying, I'll let the FBI catch Allen, opps, and then he starts to laugh. He told Nick he wished he'd done it, cause money talks. And that Courtney had it all mapped out at the house, exactly how to do it and how to set it up for the police to appear Kurt killed himself. -
Check out This Clip of Krist Novoselic Deeply Mouth Kissing Both David Grohl and Kurt Cobain
Check out this clip of Krist Novoselic deeply mouth kissing both David Grohl and Kurt Cobain. I had always heard this was some big joke, but this is the first time I've actually seen it. This happened at the end of their first big break through on Saturday Night Live, undoubtedly an incredibly emotional moment for them all. As if they would 'joke' or posture at such an emotional time for them. Don't forget, they went from the literal gutters of Aberdeen/Seattle to rock icon millionaires in a matter of what must have seemed like weeks to them. What would sear that realization more finally/certainly into their minds than finishing a live appearance on Saturday Night Live in New York City, and hearing those famous closing saxophones? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmChF_OfAjc&feature=related You see Cobain start to go into a narcoleptic collapse right afterward, btw. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-xxmC9Tjc8&feature=related in the above video, even Courtney Love's attorney thinks he wasn't suicidal and that the suicide note was forged. this one mentions that Courtney Love was the daughter of the manager of the band that became the Grateful Dead http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuQdKjDRB7s&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JTAD0ZeKmQ&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sn4bmg17vwg&feature=related http://www.oldhandbills.com/images/060915-Albert/Grateful_Dead-Steal_Your_Face- Card.jpgblue/red , electricity applied to head, skull http://photo.sing365.com/music/picture.nsf/Grateful-Dead-Skeletons-From-the-Closet- Cover/48256C71003578A24825696100122D14/$file/Skeletons.jpg rose http://www.vinylzart.com/images/AlbumCovers-GratefulDead-AmericaBeauty(1970).jpg rose http://www.univie.ac.at/Anglistik/easyrider/data/graphics/GratefulDeadShakedownStreet.gif hookers, bikers, drugs http://political-analysis.org/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/.pond/dead-album.jpg.w560h559.jpg skulln'Bones, mushrooms, wings http://i6.tinypic.com/73bt4e1.jpg Golden Gate Bridge, most famous 'suicide' site in America. -
