ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE LICENSING AND INSTALLATION OF THE REV’D ADELE BARKER- It’s now only a few weeks before Adele joins us and so we wanted to share some details about the services that will take place.

Adele will be Licensed as Priest in Charge of both Fawkham & Hartley and Longfield by Bishop Simon, Bishop of and also formally installed at Fawkham & Hartley at a service at Fawkham & Hartley Church Centre on Tuesday 18th February at 7.30pm. Seating capacity for this service is likely to be very limited because of the number of people who need to be sent formal invitations (Adele’s family and friends, former parish, local dignitaries etc.). The following morning, Adele will be presiding at our Group midweek Holy Communion Service at St. Mary’s, Fawkham at 10.00am and this will be a great opportunity to meet her, it would be lovely if you are able to join us.

Then on Sunday 23rd February, the is coming to preside and preach at a Service of Holy Communion at St. Mary Magdalene, Longfield, at 10.30am and Adele will also be formally installed at Longfield at this service. This will be a wonderful celebration for Adele and all of us from across the Group as we join her and Bishop James at the start of her ministry with us. Ash Wednesday is on 26th February and Adele will again be presiding at our Group midweek communion at 10.00am at St. Mary Magdalene, Longfield.

We hope that these services will give as many people as possible from across the Group the chance to meet Adele and give her a very warm welcome.
