I am located in a beautiful setting at Hill Farm Caravan Park on Branches Lane. I have a real passion and enthusiasm for dogs and a dedication to help you both. I offer the following services:- • House sitting (we provide a pick up and drop off service) • Kennels (whether you need a full day or half day) • Dog walking (whatever the weather or time of day we are here to help)

Thanks to Fred and Lynda putting on the afternoon and everyone who helped them, as well as the generosity of all who attended a very impressive sum just under £700 was raised. This is fantastic and will be put to excellent use to directly benefit the adults and children of Hampshire and Isle of Wight (HIOWAA) in their most critical time of need. I count myself privileged to work on the Air Ambulance helicopter and car and see directly on a weekly basis the life saving work that is delivered by HIOWAA. Over the last few years the capability of the service has grown exponentially - we now have a Consultant Doctor and Critical Care Paramedic team working on just under 100% of daytime shifts; we’ve carried both blood and plasma on board for the last few years enabling life saving transfusions to victims of severe accidents, and since early 2016 we’ve extended our operational hours, available to fly until 02:00hrs using night vision goggles and special adaptations on the helicopter.

COUNCILLERS UPDATE There have been a number of planning applications around the village over the last couple of years, not least the most recent one for six houses on the site of Crofton at Kent’s Oak. I therefore hope it’s helpful to explain in a little more detail how Test Valley’s Planning System works. The first thing to say is that the rules deciding whether a planning application is given permission, or refused, are set partially through Central Government (through a document called the National Planning Policy Framework) and partially through Test Valley’s own Local Plan - which you can see on the borough’s website here https://www.testvalley.gov.uk/planning-and-building/planningpolicy/local- development-framework/dpd. The Parish Council are a consultee, so they don’t decide the application, but their views must be taken into account by the planning officers in coming to their decision. Any objection needs to state which Borough and National rules are breached by the application. In a situation where there have been objections, be it by the Parish or from individuals, and the recommendation is for permission then the local TVBC councillor(s) are asked whether they wish the application to be decided by the local planning committee. There are two committees, one covering the north and one the south. Every TVBC councillor is a member of the committee pertinent to their area. At this point I need just to give you a short caveat by way of explanation. TVBC is unusual in that all councillors are on the Planning Committee. The good thing about this situation is that all councillors get a vote on applications brought before the committee. The less good aspect is that in order to do so the Code
