Going Down In The South Lyrics. Where you can get good weed good drank, or even get put to rest Down here we rep the Screwed Up Click, or rep the Swishahouse And we don't play games we gon take aim, or punch you in your mouth On a paper chase for that big bread, H.P.D. act like dick heads Cause they wanna know what we're smoking, and how much coedine in our big red And we stay draped in VVS diamonds, VS1's And we don't tolerate jackers, we take jackers to Vietnam Sunday night is well connected, with Big Steve and Captain Jack Tuesday night we at the rocks, with ten cars deep and all them Lacs Jumping stacks dump a gat, steel jabs and quarterbacks Yeah we rapping but it ain't just rap, money we need all of that Bulgari glasses on my face, hand cannon on my waist Candy blue paint on my ride, Trouble in the front in the back is Grace Joseph McVey that's my name, and I taste diamonds in my mouth f*ck a nigga named Lloyd Banks, it's going down in the South. [Hook:] Pistol packers and jackers, and bad ass bitches on the track Everybody you come across, trying to stack stacks It's going down in the South, (going down in the South) It's going down in the South, (going down in the South) We got diamonds in our mouth, around our arms and round our necks Six or seven days, and we ain't been to sleep yet It's going down in the South, (going down in the South) It's going down in the South, (going down in the South) [Big Boss:] It all started with a tour of the B.C., to a half of the O.G. Some dudes still fish swear, in a spot that's low key You niggaz don't know me, you so baloni You play in the pig pen, I hang where the folks be We don't talk to police, leave that to you fonies. Disguised as homies, to get me felonies I forever be lonely, just me and my coedine My tech has no beam, my aim is so clean Been at it since 14, you can't control me So quit the baloni, 'fore I go where your folks sleep Hit your block and it's on G, the strap sits cozy It claps but don't speak, leave flats no slowly So don't provoke me, I was raised in the struggle Good kush and kool-aid, so they stay in a huddle If you call me on the blank runs, the next time it's double f*ck stunting but if you want, Boss'll teach you how to hustle. • Houston Rapper Kirko Bangz Is Riding a Buzz Right Now Worthy of Attention
Houston rapper Kirko Bangz is riding a buzz right now worthy of attention. With a DJ Drama hosted mixtape blazing the streets now, Kirko’s been gaining a foothold in the talented Southern rap scene. MTV’s RapFix Representing Houston, Kirko Bangz is one of the most popular young MCs on the 'net. He can harmonize and rap, so it's no surprise that the Drake comparisons are starting to roll in. His single, 'Drank In My Cup,' strengthened his star power and after dropping his most recent mixtape, 'The Progression 2: A Young Texas Playa,' Bangz is not only perfecting his craft but well on his way to etching out his own niche in the hip-hop arena. AOL’s TheBoomBox.com - “Black History Month 2012: 10 New Black Artists” (#5) Kirko Bangz is the type of artist that some people may not truly appreciate until hindsight becomes a factor…there’s something authentic about his style that cannot be ignored…As long as he continues with his progression (no pun intended) and shows that he’s more than radio- friendly, he could get there much sooner than later. AllHipHop.com [Kirko Bangz] has a lyrical smoothness emphasizes originality and a modern sexy appeal. Kirko makes racy selections for the women followed by witty street freestyles embraced by the fellas and getting better by the second at mastering his own identity. HipHopDX.com Kirko Bangz may be known solely for his slow trippy hit of the summer, Drank in My Cup, but with his newest project, Procrastination Kills 4, he promises to prove that he is a true artist and not an "auto-tune singing ass n*gga." GlobalGrind.com This kid is going to be a problem once people really take notice.

  • Capturing Hip Hop Histories
capturing hip hop histories SOUTH-WEST HEADZ Master Blast Roadshow poster by Raz (Kilo), 1986. Photograph: Kilo. First published 2021 2021 Adam de Paor-Evans Cover graff by Remser Remser started writing in 1997 after seeing dubs and pieces by Sceo, Fixer, Teach, and G-Sane at the M5 pillar spot in Exeter. His school bus used to loop around Sannerville Way and the pieces could be seen from the road as well as the train. A couple of years prior to this, Remser’s mum randomly bought him a copy of Spraycan Art, and he knew straight away that it was something he wanted to be part of. In early 2000 he moved to London and hooked up with the DNK/CWR boys, they were way better than him and super-active but this experience pushed him to develop his style and learn about all aspects of graffiti writing. Respect and love to all of the South-West writers and hip hop headz, too many to mention but you know who you are! DNK CWR Waxnerds forever... PROLOGUE Sidelines of chairs neatly divide the center field and a large stage stands erect. At its center, there is a stately podium flanked by disciplined men wearing the militaristic suits of the Fruit of Islam, a visible security squad. This is Ford Field, usually known for housing the Detroit Lions football team, but on this occasion it plays host to a different gathering and sentiment. The seats are mostly full, both on the floor and in the stands, but if you look closely, you’ll find that this audience isn’t the standard sporting fare: the men are in smart suits, the women dress equally so, in long white dresses, gloves, and headscarves.

CURREN$Y Verde Terrace 8.23.11 JetLife Recordings / Warner Bros. Records Hip-hop artists who need help figuring out their live show, talk to Spitta. Philadelphia Weekly New Orleans weed-rapper Curren$y has built a large following over the past few years for his mellowed-out rhymes and spacey instrumentals, releasing a string of solid albums and mixtapes at a nearly inhuman rate. Riverfront Times "You also can't argue against the fact that Curren$y's both prolific and consistent, a rare quality if there ever was one." PrefixMag.com "There is not a week that goes by, where his name isn’t either buzzing or trending online, something new drops on the radio, or there is new material available on iTunes." stupidDOPE.com Verde Terrace doesn't break any new territory for Curren$y, but "new territory" isn't really part of his M.O.-- he is digging a groove, one into which he settles more comfortably each year…Curren$y is refining the contours of his tiny universe so that it resembles no one else's. Pitchfork.com, Verde Terrace review (7.3 of 10) Curren$y understands the formula to creating a cult following: consistent, high quality music delivered frequently…Spitta offers an album full of his standard weed, women and clothes that made him the cult icon and fan favorite he is now. Off Beat Magazine, album review Curren$y’s the paradox in the microwave rap argument. Ology.com, mixtape review (3 of 5) With that, Curren$y and his Jets crew add to his ever-growing discography of mixtapes.
