Château form ’s renovation has retained its history and made it ideal for hosting your seminars. Cascina Erbatici is located less than an hour from Milan and the Linate and Malpensa airports . It is our second seminar home in Italy, welcoming your teams to a quiet countryside setting on the banks of the Po, with paddy fields as far as the eye can see ... The agricultural tradition of the past has been preserved and can be seen today in this beautiful old red-brick seminar home. Your participants will be immersed in rural surroundings: horses, stables, outbuildings, flocks of sheep and poultry. The theme of the estate is “from the farm to the plate”, as varied as the names on the doors of the 69 bedrooms . “From the farm to the plate ” is a theme which is further emphasised by the neighbouring farm that provides our kitchen with beautiful organic products - eggs, honey, rice, veal, beef, pork, salami, red wine, white wine, sparkling wine ... - and enables the house to be environmentally friendly through biomass heating . For your seminars, 12 meeting rooms with high-tech equipment have been built in the old mill. They include an auditorium for 70 participants and a large multi-purpose conference room which can accommodate up to 80 people. The 400 m 2 converted barn can accommodate up to 250 people , enabling large-scale meetings ... It can also be used as the setting for a cocktail party, a gala dinner, a convention or a trade show to launch your products ... The house is also a place where you can relax between meetings. To wind down, try the spa with its hammam and hydro-massage beds. To get a break from work, an instructor is on hand for introductory horse riding lessons, or a ride through the fields. There is also a private lake where you can swim on nice days, take boat trips, or even go fishing... As always at Château form ' venues, your participants will be welcomed and made to feel welcome by a host couple and a chef who will prepare your delicious meals, and introduce you to all the regional flavours. If you wish, Cascina Erbatici can also be reserved exclusively as your own ‘family estate’, making it seem just like home ! I - 27030 Mezzana Bigli (PV) 40 minutes south west of Milan. WINERY NAME: CENTORRI WINERY LOCATION: Castiglione Tinella (Asti province), Piedmont VINEYARD LOCATION: Calvignano and Stradella (Pavia province), Lombardy; Castiglione Tinella, Piedmont VINEYARD LAND: 84 acres (34 ha) FARMING PRACTICES: GRAPE VARIETIES: Moscato Bianco WINE STYLES: Sweet white frizzante WINE REGIONS: IGT Provincia di Pavia TOTAL WINE PRODUCTION: 132,000 bottles (99,000 liters) YEAR FOUNDED: 2003 OWNER(S): The Brangero Family WINEMAKER(S): Eleonora Brangero Moscato d'Asti is a sweet, low-alcohol white wine and is one of the most important wines of Italy, filling a particular niche in the mosaic of Italian wine styles. The wine pairs well with spicy foods, especially Asian cuisine and with moderately sweet desserts, among other things. It is also a favorite sipping wine for those consumers with a predilection for sweeter wines. Centorri's Moscato di Pavia is essentially that same wine, except that its Moscato grapes come from the province of Pavia rather than the Asti area and it is therefore lower in price than many Moscato d'Astis. Enologist Eleonora Brangero and her husband Matteo Soria own a winery in the commune of Castiglione Tinella within the Asti denomination where they have long made Moscato d'Asti. In 1996, they purchased 10 acres of Moscato vineyards in Pavia, just across the border from Piedmont in the region of Lombardy. The new property was named Eleanor Estate after Brangero. For several years, they sold the grapes to other producers, but in 2009 they began a project to make a new line of wine under the direction of Brangero. The project was named Centorri, a reference to the city of Pavia's famous hundred towers (cento torri).

Father Luigi Gambero was born on January 7, 1930, in Robbio, a large neighborhood of Lomellina, in the Province of Pavia, but included in the territory of the Archdiocese of Vercelli. Brought up by his parents, Giovanni and Maria, with sound traditional principles within the context of a rural society and a parish that was pastorally vibrant and strongly devoted to the Madonna, upon finishing elementary school Luigi was ready to accept the idea of entering the diocesan seminary. He was the altar boy in the parish church of San Stefano when a Marianist from the area, Father Secondo Casella, celebrated his First Solemn High Mass after his ordination in Fribourg. It was an occasion that the Provost, Monsignor Bogliani, a theologian with a broad vision and a big heart, experienced as a sign of Providence, leading him to the decision to send to the Marianists some of his aspirants for the priesthood. And so, at the end of 1941 Luigi entered the Santa Maria Postulate in Pallanza, where he continued his studies in the Nuova Scuola Media Unica (New Unique Middle School), which the Marianist Vice-Province of Italy had opened up to external students and was in the process of bringing up to the legally mandated public school standards.

PRESS RELEASE • PARMALAT CONFIRMS ITS OPERATIONAL PLAN FOR 2012-2014 TO INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY IN THE ITALIAN MARKET • SOCIAL PLAN TO MINIMIZE IMPACT ON EMPLOYMENT • PARMALAT CONSIDERING INVESTMENT PROJECT FOR THE GENOA CENTRALE DEL LATTE WORKERS Collecchio, 21 September 2012 – Today, in Rome, at the headquarters of MiSE (Ministry of Economic Development), at the table with the company representatives and the Social Partners to discuss the plan, which guidelines were already presented at the meeting of 22 June 2012 and subsequently explained in detail before the National Coordination of Unions at the meetings of 4 and 24 July 2012, Parmalat has confirmed its 2012-2014 Operational Plan for Italy. The Operational Plan, which aims to boost total sales in Italy for the three-year period, plans to increase the productivity of the Italy business unit of Parmalat S.p.A. through a process of concentration of production and streamlining of management procedures, supported by adequate funding needed to regain the necessary competitiveness. To face the employment repercussions of implementing the production concentration plan, which involves the closure of three small production sites with saturation problems (Genoa, Villaguardia in the province of Como and Cilavegna in the province of Pavia), Parmalat has declared its willingness, in consultation with the Workers’ Trade Unions, to implement an appropriate Social Plan. The Social Plan provides for a synergic set of initiatives, designed to offer solutions aimed at mitigating the effects on employment through a series of active labor policies - such as making recourse to infra-Group mobility and the transfer of personnel to third logistics operators, supported by the necessary means, including training - the strengthening of the logistic hub of Villaguardia and, as for the residual part, if any, the recourse to the new placement instrument on the part of a company specialized in the reallocation of staff.

  • The Historical Background
The historical background Owing to its favourable position, Lomellina (the Lombard district west of Pavia, deriving its name from the ancient main town, ªLaumellumº) attracted hosts of successive invasions. The first inhabitants where the Levi, a tribe of Ligurian stock who settled in Lomellina about 800 B.C. The next who came were the Celts, in turn coming from what is today's France. The Romans followed and built castra, roads and bridges, so that the soldiers could go to any part of the Empire. In that period Lomello assumed strategic and economic importance, since it was a mansio on the arterial road connecting Pavia to Turin along the route to Gaul. In 1984, the archaeologic excavations made by the Universities of Pavia and of London brought to light tombs and epigraphs of the Imperial period as well as the ruins of a fortification and an entrance door. During the Longobard domination (569 ±774 A.D.) Lomello began to know considerable prosperity. This was the place where Queen Theodolinda (King Autari's widow) met Agilulf, Duke of Turin, in 590. They soon got married and Agilulf came to the throne. Their meeting and engagament is told by Paolo Diacono in his famous Historia Langobardorum. Teodolinda had a leading role in the conversion of the Longobards from arianism to catholicism, while Agilulf was strong enough to put down rebel dukes. Lomello is also kown as the place of Gundeberga's inprisonment. In his chronicle, Friddegar tells about the vicissitudes of Queen Gundeberga (Theodolinda's daughter), who was charged with betrayal by her husband Arioald.

Saracino et al. BMC Cancer (2021) 21:762 https://doi.org/10.1186/s12885-021-08532-x RESEARCH ARTICLE Open Access Integrating data from multidisciplinary Management of Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma: a cohort study Laura Saracino1, Chandra Bortolotto2, Stefano Tomaselli1, Elia Fraolini1, Matteo Bosio1, Giulia Accordino1, Francesco Agustoni3, David M. Abbott4, Emma Pozzi3, Dimitrios Eleftheriou5, Patrizia Morbini6, Pietro Rinaldi7, Cristiano Primiceri7, Andrea Lancia8, Patrizia Comoli9, Andrea R. Filippi8 and Giulia M. Stella1* Abstract Background: Malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) is a rare and aggressive malignancy that most commonly affects the pleural layers. MPM has a strong association with asbestos, mainly caused by exposure to its biopersistent fibers in at least 80% of cases. Individuals with a chronic exposure to asbestos might develop disease with a 20–40-year latency with few or no symptoms. Such has been the case in the Italian regions of Piedmont and Lombardy, where industrial production of materials laden with asbestos, mainly cements, has been responsible for the onset of a large epidemic. Since 2018, a multidisciplinary team at San Matteo hospital in Pavia has been collecting data on over 100 patients with MPM. The main goal of this project is to define and describe an integrated profile for each MPM case at diagnosis by using data mining and partition analysis. Methods: Here we bring together exhaustive epidemiologic, histologic and radiologic data of 88 MPM patients that came to our observation and draw correlations with predictive and prognostic significance. Results: The median overall survival (OS) was 15.6 months. Most patients presented with pleural effusion, irrespective of disease stage.
