The average salary package offered is 3.45 LPA. Recruiting companies here are mostly Indian companies. Moreover, basic companies visit here. Around 65% of students got internships from here. Top roles offered here are accounting, marketing and commerce roles.

Infrastructure: There is no hostel facility in DAV College. I would really recommend it to build infrastructure, especially for the purpose of a hostel for students who stay outside the city. Without a hostel, it is hard for students to reach the institute. Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable here. Their teaching quality is mostly good but restrictive to students who actually want to study and not for those who do not take their studies serious. B.Com doesn't make students ready for the industry. With the assistance of appropriate masters, they would get a proper career path.

Other: I chose this course especially for competitive exams, and also the fee is just Rs. 2,500-5,000 per year. B.Com course in DAV offers the best to students, and it is obviously value for money.

Placements: In DAV college, after the graduation, the scope of getting placements job is easy. This college is affiliated to Chatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaja university of , one of the most reputed universities in . If you pursue higher studies like postgraduation, the scope of getting jobs would be quite easy. Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good, that looks like an ancient time buildings. But the university is renovating the architecture, with new buildings and flooring with marble stones all over the college. The atmosphere is good here, with greenery all around and non- suffocated classrooms subtend great place for education. Faculty: Faculty of this college are good, professional, helping and very supportive. Different subjects related to different fields (Science, Commerce, Arts) are taught here for a longer period. Regular examinations are conducted which goes with a good result.

Disclaimer: This PDF is auto-generated based on the information available on Shiksha as on 30-Sep-2021. Our college is good, and the faculty members were helpful. Placements: Our college does provide placements in our course. Rest everything was good here. So I did a company secretary course with M.Com. For other courses, our college provides placements. But the placements in our college are not as good as it is in other colleges. Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was good. I don't have any idea about hostels as the college is in my home town only. Classrooms are well-maintained. The college provides a separate department for each course. The library is also very good. Sports are also conducted here, but Wi-Fi facility is not available for the students. Faculty: Teachers in our college were very helpful. They provided notes to us, and they conduct classes regularly. Teachers were highly qualified, and their teaching quality is good. The course curriculum was relevant. The course curriculum makes the students industry- ready to some level.

H Hrithik Awasthi | B.Sc. in Industrial Microbiology - Batch of 2019 Verified Reviewed on 2 Apr 2018 1.4 Placements 1 Infrastructure 2 Faculty & Course Curriculum 1 Crowd & Campus Life 1 Personal experience of DAV College. Placements: There are no placements. We have to pursue the master degree from well- reputed colleges. DAV does not provide placement as it's a government authorised college. So teacher over there do not take any interest in providing you guidance as they are getting their salary for free. Infrastructure: The infrastructure of DAV is average. It's like an ancient old building. I don't recommend anyone personally to go for the admission in DAV. Infrastructure is really very poor you will feel like at the time the whole college is going to collapse. Faculty: There are various courses in DAV if you are willing to take admission for just degree then it okay and if you are looking for some knowledge for the course from the faculty or teacher over there, then I would say faculty are really very poor. The teachers over there do not provide any guidance related to course.

3.0 Placements 3 Infrastructure 3 Faculty & Course Curriculum 3 Crowd & Campus Life 3 An overview of DAV College, Kanpur for the aspirants who want to go for higher studies. Placements: There are moderate placements in the college. Companies don't visit the campus as it does not provide the courses like B.Tech or M.Tech. It is affiliated to Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Khanpur, situated about around 10 km from the college. The internship courses are provided to the students in particular courses like B.Ed. etc., The complete scholarship is provided for the studies of students by the college committee and UP government. Infrastructure: The college looks good with the traditional anglo British building standing high. It has huge lecture halls. It has simple and British infrastructure as the college was built in 1919, seems like some glorious old monument situated in a central place of the city in front of of Kanpur. A central spot for nearby population. The campus has a library and a separate DAV ground for sports activities. The hostel facility is there for girls only, but since it is a central spot, one can easily get a hostel nearby the college. Faculty: The faculty members are helpful. Professors are the experts in their particular subject and sincere towards students. Most of them are the prominent names of Kanpur. For B.Sc, it is a 3 years course starting from July and ends in March. A combined mark sheet is provided for all the three years. Many professional courses are also available like BCA, M.Sc., electronics, LL.B. with some other courses like PhD, B.Ed, etc. It is a government college and has the faculty of around 300 for different specialised subjects.

4.4 Placements 4 Infrastructure 4 Faculty & Course Curriculum 5 Crowd & Campus Life 4 Much Better Than Average (One of the top 5 PG colleges of city). Placements: The placement criteria in the college are very efficient, and this college allows the largest number of seats. The merit list is not very critical like other colleges taking admission in regular as well as private (self-finance) seats is very efficient. The teachers and other placement staff are very cooperative in the college.

Infrastructure: The college is extended in a large area including many buildings, and each department is given the best facilities like labs, sports rooms, etc. The building is modern and well-maintained with cleanliness in toilet and sanitation. There is also a large space for vehicle parking in the college.

Faculty: The teachers of the college are very supportive and are highly qualified. Many of them are abroad return, most of the students are irregular, but the teachers are very attentive and regular they give you fine treatment even if you are the single student present in the class. Even the head of department takes weekly classes. Talking of the student to faculty ratio, I must say that there is a single teacher but 250 par 250 students, which is because of the largest student strength, but only 5% of the students are usually present in the regular classes. The course curriculum was useful.

Other: The system is equally active in tours, and activities like the NSS department, NCC department, and scout guide are very active on a regular basis. The authorities managing these departments are very active, and special funds have been secured for these things. A large number of student get scholarships, and the department is very hardworking and works 10 hours a day to provide students documentation.

Placements: Actually, there was no placement in graduation. I and some of my friends even tried to form a placement cell but we didn't succeed in our efforts. We talked to the principal, teachers and students unions but there was no response. We contacted a lot of companies but no one wanted to take an action in the college.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not very good. The college is large in area and has a good library. The campus is good as there is a good environment for studying. The classrooms are large and there is an auditorium too. The college is neat and clean and full of plants and trees.

Faculty: The faculty of college is better than other colleges of CSJM University. The teachers are too experienced. The course is quite good. Maybe you won't get a campus placement but the scope of the course is very good as CSJM is a highly appreciated university.
