The fourth Tattler Quiz was a great success much to our relief. The hall was packed, the contestants were in great form, the tempo was fast and laughter was dominant which we’d hoped for. Sorry so many were unable to have tickets. We were sold out very quickly and although we made a waiting list there were no returns. Perhaps next year......

Thanks to all those who helped; Jackie the sandwich queen, Kit the cake and plate arranger, Sophie and Ken who served tea and coffee, David who generously gave us the delicious apples and other contributions to the refreshments as well as helping with the furniture situation, Paul, Ralph and Big David muscled the furniture, which was quite a job, Ken who was doorman, Janet the raffle queen achieved the highest result yet, mainly through her encouragement of the players and the fantastic prizes. Incidentally Dotsie had helped us do a trial run of the furniture placing the previous week. Finally, two people without whom we couldn’t have managed; Pauline our recorder whose speed and accuracy was amazing and Malcolm who so professionally dealt with all table reactions.

Financial results: Profit after expenses ( prizes, food, stationery, hall) = £466.44. Of this over £100 was from the raffle. As we said at the Quiz we are donating £100 to the youth club at The Chapel - held on alternate Friday evenings, just turn up! We would be glad if anyone in the village could suggest any other worthy causes in the village to which we could make another donation. We hope you enjoy attending as much as we enjoy Tuddenham Tattler Page 5
