Read Ebook {PDF EPUB} I'll Storm Hell by Noel B. Gerson I'll Storm Hell. While tensions grow between the British Crown and its American colonies, precocious tearaway 'Mad' Anthony Wayne studies the victories of Hannibal, Caesar and the Duke of Marlborough, in the hope one day leading an army of his own. Then in 1774, inspired by the call-to-arms of Benjamin Franklin and George Washington, he raises a battalion of militiamen; a rag-tag bunch of farmers, but tough Pennsylvanian Patriots nonetheless. By 1775 the colonies have declared themselves the United States of America, and Anthony Wayne is marching his men to expel the Redcoats and protect a new country's independence. Following unprecedented success in the field, he swiftly earns the respect of revolutionary leaders and British generals alike. But as war drags on, the challenges facing the Americans evolve. The British army is the best trained in the world. Devastating bayonet raids are taking their toll on an exhausted, malnourished and under-equipped militia. Congress vacillates on a course of action, while the morale of Anthony's men wanes by the day. Washington knows the capture of Stony Point, a formidable British redoubt, could be the turning point of the war. Despite the odds, Anthony Wayne believes he can storm it. Indeed, for independence, he'll storm hell. In this inimitable blend of fact and fiction Noel Gerson brings to life not a mad man, but an unjustly overlooked founding father and American hero. This is one of Gerson's bi-annual biographical assignments one step down the road in his determination to cover the whole field of American history. Now it's ""Mad Anthony"" Wayne, gentleman farmer from Pennsylvania and unpredictably able general of the American Revolution who specialized in accomplishing the manifestly impossible by means of ""mad"" bayonet charges supported by artillery. The book covers the span of his erratic life and a career which teetered between public disgrace and adulation. Like Wayne, the story has virtually everything--adventure, color, romance, etc. but unlike him, it is guaranteed to offend no one which is the closest to a positive recommendation one can make. Noel Gerson began his writing career in 1950 after the thrilling encounter of the world war II with the Army intelligence. His primary focus as an author was facts and fiction based on history. A majority of Noels’ books were stand-alone historic novels based on the American history. He wrote novels highlighting the American colonial period and the States in its formative years. Besides this, Noel also wrote a lot of biographies and biographical novels. The novels featured great people including American presidents and notable women in the history of America. Some of the American presidents featured in his novels include Andrew Jackson, James Polk and Theodore Roosevelt. Empress Theodora of the Byzantine Empire, Matilda of Flanders, , and William the Conqueror’s formidable wife are among the notable women Noel featured in his books. Noel wrote two series of the American history in the later stages of his career. The first series consisted of more than twenty-four books popularly known as the “Wagons West series.” In this series, Noel Gerson used the pen name, Dana Fuller Rose. The series began in 1978 and is still being published. Just to mention, the first four books of the series focus on the initial wagon train to Oregon in 1837. In 1979, Noel began his second series named the “white Indian” using the pen name Donald Clayton Porter. The series has its setting in the late 1600 and portrays the life of Renno, a child raised by Seneca to become a senior warrior. Also in the fold of Noels’ books are two screenplay novelizations named “The Naked Maja” and “55 Days at Perking”. In these two novelizations, Noel Gerson used the Samuel Edwards as the pseudonym pen name. Aside from the pseudonym Samuel Edwards, Noel used other aliases in his works including Nicholas Gorham, Paul Lewis, Leon Phillips, Michael Burgess, Philip Vail and Carter A. Vaughan. He met his untimely death in November 1988 following a heart attack in Boca Raton community hospital. The conqueror’s wife. The conqueror’s wife is the second biographical novel authored and published by Noel Gerson in the year 1957. The book highlights the plight of Matilda, a beautiful and brilliant lady and a daughter of the wealthiest man in Christendom. Matilda initially refuses to marry William, a bastard duke of Normandy showing sheer will and determination. Equally strong minded, William succeeds in convincing her to marry him. This came as a relief to Matilda’s father. This sets the beginning of an interesting romantic story between two superior people. In the first nine years of their marriage, Matilda bears several children dutifully to one, William. The two are not only joint by their marriage but also their ambition and determination to control England. The need to become the queen of the country is Matilda’s topmost ambition. Unknowingly, these ambitions and obsessions will come between their relationship, almost bringing their love to an end. It happens that William’s rival, Earl Harold Godswine finds himself in the throne of William. William sets his plans for dealing with such an unusual event. On the other side, Matilda has different ideas on how to deal with Harold, which was against Williams wishes. This difference brought their marriage to the brink of destruction. At that instance, their love is tested beyond any means. William and Matilda sought to iron out their issues, setting aside their private struggles in a bid to remain together. Matilda’s meddling with matters primed and led to the invasion of England by their rivals. William prepares his troops to repulse the invasion. However, the initial deep interference of Matilda impairs his full control over the army. This is where the drama sets in. If William fails to prepare and recapture what belongs to him, their kingdom faces a downfall. Therefore, will “The Conqueror’s Wife Cause her downfall?” . Harriet Beecher Stowe is the most popular biography authored by Noel Gerson. In this novel, explores the life of a fascinating woman who is on a mission to change the cause the course of American history through her book Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Harriet Beecher Stowe was an amazing and prolific writer who produced articles for the Atlantic Monthly since its inception. Besides this, she authored many novels and children books. It is mind boggling to read about her contribution and growth from a mere stern Puritan to a champion of slaves and the poor. From the biography, the author has highlighted the plight that Matilda, like any other women faced; women were supposed to be confined to the kitchen, the parlor or the bedroom; she sought emancipation with President Lincoln. Additionally, she had extra-ordinary relationship with Queen Victoria. Harriet Beecher Stowe was regarded by Emile Zola as a comrade-in-arms for their separate crusades championing for a better world. Harriet’s super-abundant energy and refreshing sense of humor enabled her to succeed in her duties as a devoted wife, a mother of five and a renowned literary career becoming one of the greatest celebrities of the nineteenth century. Certainly, this is a tale of one of the most remarkable women who underscored the power of words and expressed the influence in the course of human events. With that said, Noel Gerson channeled his military career and wartime experience during his periods in the military intelligence into the majority of his novels. Authoring 325 books under his name and other pseudonyms is not an easy task. Also topping the list of screenplay novelizations as the best sellers include two of his favorite novels penned under the name Samuel Edwards.
