Hockey India hosted the 35th edion of Champions Trophy in Bhubaneswar from December 6-14. While Germany was the winner, the Indian team fared well and was placed fourth in the Tournament. Players from the Indian squad were also recognised for their outstanding performance during the tournament. My congratulaons to P R Sreejesh for winning the Tata Steel Best Goalkeeper of the tournament, Akashdeep Singh for MCL Best Junior Player of the tournament, Sardar Singh for NALCO Fan's Choice and S V Sunil for Cairn India Most Energec Player awards. The team had won the Indo-Australia series in Perth earlier in November. The Indian Junior Women Hockey Team also played a six match series against New Zealand which was followed by the Senior Women team who were a tough compeon to Italy. India's Junior Men Team stood tall against Australia, Japan and New Zealand in Australia which is a great achievement. In its endeavour to produce and nurture young talent, Hockey India also recently announced the launch of its 'Online Academy Plaorm' to guide the young talent. The iniave is a comprehensive programme aimed at helping young aspirants to learn the new tricks, strategies and development in the game. Hockey India also announced the 'Hockey India Annual Awards' from the current year for the most promising and potent players from the current as well as upcoming teams.

    Hockey Clinic The Aussies are coming! Monday 8th July 2015, 12 - 4pm Albury Alexandra park cost $50 George Bazeley (Goal Keeper) made his international debut for the Kookaburras in January 2009. He won a gold medal at the 2010 FIH World Cup in Delhi, India. He won 3 consecutive gold medals at the 2009, 2010 and 2011 FIH Hockey Champions Trophy tournament. He also plays for the Uttar Pradesh Wizards in the Hockey India League. George has repre- sented Victoria since he was 14 years old. He plays for Camberwell Hockey Club Emily Hurtz (Midfield / Striker) was born a raised in Camden, NSW. She played over 85 games for the Hockeyroos making her debut at the SPAR cup in South Africa in 2009. She won a gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and silver at the World Cup in 2014. She played professionally in The Netherlands for Amsterdam hockey club. She currently plays for Hawthorn hockey club and recently coached (along with Stacia Joseph) the Under 18 women's side to silver at the 2015 National Championships. Stacia Joseph (Midfield / Defender) made her international debut at the SPAR cup in South Africa in 2009. She won a silver medal at the 2009 Champions Trophy in Syd- ney. She played professionally in The Netherlands for HIC hockey club, taking her team to win the National Championship. She captain the Victorian Vipers to third in the 2014 National Championships. She currently plays for Waverley hockey club in Melbourne. She recently coached (along with Emily Hurtz) the Under 18 women's side to silver at the 2015 National Championships.
