In August Buckle up Spanky was launched and raced for the first time at Hamilton Island and placed second overall in the sportboat division. This boat has received many favourable comments about the construction of this boat. The care and attention to detail is amazing. The boat was viewed by our designer and in his opinion he has commented that this boat would have to be the best constructed racing yacht ever pro- duced for its size. Mark Matthews in conjunction with Andy Turton are produc- ing these boats and other larger Thompson designs in Bris- bane (Australia) to the highest possible standard.
