Great book for any Wings fan.By sheldaniaExcellent book by the "real" creator of the Real Wings dynasty (not Ken Holland). Great inside stories of Mr. I and company; particularly on Mr. I's (RIP) early involvement in coaching changes and hiring practices. Easy read, pulls no punches, well-written. I highly recommend it to any Wings fan.I just read it in017, unfortunately book was written in 2008; so cuts out after the Wings last cup. Hope he writes an addendum one day. I would love to see what he thinks of the Wings actions from 2009 to present.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Jimmy D is a starBy Ludlum fanGreat book by a very interesting guy. • Press Clips March 25, 2021
Buffalo Sabres Daily Press Clips March 25, 2021 Sabres’ winless streak hits 15 as Penguins roll to 5-2 win By Will Graves Associated Press March 25, 2021 PITTSBURGH (AP) — The Pittsburgh Penguins are tired. They’re hurting. And in a way, they’re scrambling. Nothing a visit from the reeling Buffalo Sabres can’t fix. Sidney Crosby picked up his 13th goal of the season, Tristan Jarry stopped 26 shots and the Penguins extended Buffalo’s winless streak to 15 games with a 5-2 victory on Wednesday night. Evan Rodrigues, Kris Letang, John Marino and Zach Aston-Reese scored also for the Penguins, who recovered from a sluggish three-game set against New Jersey in which they managed just one victory by pouncing on the undermanned and overmatched Sabres. “We’re a close group, a very resilient group,” Marino said. “We’ve had a lot of come-from-behind wins, a lot of bounce-back wins (like tonight). It says a lot about the guys in the room.” Buffalo goalie Dustin Tokarski, making his first NHL start in more than five years with Carter Hutton out due to a lower-body injury, finished with 37 saves and kept the Sabres in it until late in the second period, when Marino and Aston-Reese scored just over 2 minutes apart to give the Penguins all the cushion required. Rasmus Dahlin scored his second goal of the season and Victor Olofsson beat Jarry on a penalty shot in the third period, but the NHL’s worst team remained in a tailspin.

It was a 3-2 final with Federov scoring the winner with 28 seconds left on the clock. This one, however, was special as it marked a milestone for one of the greatest professional coaches of any sport in any time. Scotty Bowman, currently the coach of the Detroit Red Wings, was behind the bench in his 2,000th NHL game on Friday night as Detroit beat Vancouver. The previous record was 1,607 set by Al Arbour of the New York Islanders, a record passed by Bowman five years ago.

The Open Monthly Brought to you by Ted’s Journalism Class February and March, 2018 Edition ———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Exclusive: St. Patrick’s Day Comic By: Jacob, Jaden, and Leonna Winter Olympics By: Ada, Lulu, Scout, Sam The 2018 Winter Olympics were held in South Korea, for two weeks. Norway received the most medals (39), but the United States did very well, receiving 23 medals! (9 gold, 8 silver, and 6 bronze). Our gold medals went to Red Gerard (snowboarding), Jamie Anderson (Snowboarding), Chloe Kim (Snowboarding), Shaun White (Snowboarding), Mikaela Shiffrin (Skiing), Kikkan Ran- dall/Jessie Diggins (cross country skiing), David Wise (skiing), Women’s Ice Hockey, and Men’s Curling. Overall our best sport was most definitely Snowboarding! All though we did get 23 medals, many United States Olympic Committee were disappointed because we missed the estimated amount medals target for Team USA, which was to obtain 37 medals. This year we failed to beat our previous number of medals, 28 in 2014. Both in 2014 and 2018 we obtained 9 gold medals. In Pyeongchang, Erin Hamlin carried the flag during the opening ceremony. This year was the first time all US time zones had live coverage rather than delayed footage. It was also the first year South Korea hosted the winter Olympics. They once hosted the sum- mer Olympics in Seoul 1988. Due to it being in Korea, along with the political climate in Ko- rea, there was, as expected, a lot of tension. ———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— OHS Students Prepare For Spring Break Europe Trip By: Max Murphy Many Open High School students will be travel- ing to several destinations in Europe over Spring Break this year.
