Julianna presents Katelyn’s GWA pin and Katelyn presents Julianna’s PGWA pin! Congratulatons! We are proud of both ladies!! Mom Fortenberry, Supreme Worthy Advisor, presented Sharon Broadway as the new Grand Deputy for the Chatanooga Area! - DeMolay Game Virtual Night First ever Rainbow Hosted by Katelyn and Cade Lowrance, SMC From the Supreme Deputy…. My Tennessee Rainbow Family, First and foremost, I want to tell you all how excited I am to be a part of this next Chapter in Tennessee Rainbow History. As a young Rainbow Girl and then Majority Member, never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would be representing you all as your Supreme Deputy. For those of you who do not know me, I am a majority Rainbow Girl and Past Grand Worthy Advisor of Tennessee Rainbow. My husband Austin and I were born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee which is where we currently reside. Austin is a Pediatrician and I am a stay-at-home mom to our wild three-year-old fraternal twins, Anderson and Caroline. Mom Fortenberry, thank you so much for the faith you have in me to lead Tennessee Rainbow. I am truly humbled and honored and looking forward to the future of Tennessee Rainbow! Like the rest of Tennessee Rainbow, I was so proud to watch you be Installed on Zoom as Supreme Worthy Advisor. I know you have wonderful plans for our Order and it is an honor to work with you! As part of her term as Supreme Worthy Advisor, Mom Fortenberry has instituted the Centennial Proficiency/Membership Program. This is a great program that allows our members to attain knowledge about our Order while doing service along the way. There are four levels to the program that will be done in “semester” like sequences. Your Grand Deputies and Mother Advi- sors have all of the information so please be sure to reach out to them to get this program started! I want to congratulate Julianna Justice, our JPGWA and the 2019-2020 Grand Officers on a wonderful year. Although the year did not end how any of you planned, each of you handled the whole process with such grace and poise and I was truly proud of each of you. I want to thank all of those who took part in or attended our Grand Assembly Showcase. It took a lot of hard work from many individuals across the state to pull off, but fortunately our Tennessee Rainbow family is great at teamwork. We definitely made lemonade out of lemons that day and I am appreciative of all of the hard work that was put into the event. Congratulations to our new GWA, Katelyn Broadway, and the 2020-2021 Grand Officers. I have enjoyed getting to know you all already on Zoom and I look forward to when we can meet again together. Katelyn has organized some great projects for us this term to be working on! Be sure to check with your Mother Advisors on how you can participate in our service projects this year or you can learn about them on our website www.tniorg.org Lastly, I want to give a shout out to my awesome Grand Page, Jalise Gleaves from Hendersonville #3. Rainbow Love, Mom Rachel Whitaker Supreme Deputy Supreme Worthy Advisor Installed in Tennessee Only a Pandemic like COVID-19 could cause such a change in the entre world in 2020! But thanks to the guidelines surrounding safety and social distancing, Supreme Assembly was held virtually. Tennessee was honored to host the Installaton Ceremony of the Supreme Worthy Advisor in her home state and in the Assembly where she began as a Mother Advisor a few years back. It is such an honor to congratulate Mom Fortenberry on her electon to Supreme Worthy Advisor! From Fountain City’s Assembly Room and with the help of our folks at Supreme, Tennessee Rainbow hosted an internatonal ZOOM meetng to see our Supreme Assembly Ofcers installed in their new statons! Mom Fortenberry’s daughters, Susan and Amy were in atendance and her granddaughter, Rachel, served as the Bible Bearer. With 850 virtual viewers and 60 friends on-site, our ZOOM meetng moved from Tennessee to various parts of the United States, then to Canada, Bolivia and Brazil without a hitch! Supreme Worthy Advisors are so busy that they must resign their positon as Supreme Inspector and turn over their Jurisdicton to another person. So when Mom Fortenberry resigned, she appointed Rachel Whitaker as our new Supreme Deputy! Mom Rachel is a Tennessee Past Grand Worthy Advisor and Majority Member and we welcome her as our new Rainbow Leader. As members of Tennessee Rainbow, we pledge our renewed support to these two leaders who have the best interest of Rainbow at heart. Mom Fortenberry Julianna Justce, Marshal Brianna Hawkins, Recorder Katelyn Broadway, Chaplain Most Worshipful Grand Master Mr. Robert Reed gave the benedicton Mom Fortenberry with Rachel, her Granddaughter Grand Assembly Showcase 2020 Where were you on Saturday, August 15th? Whether you were at home, at a watch party or in Knoxville, Nashville or Memphis, Tennessee Rainbow gathered for our Grand Assembly Showcase via a ZOOM meetng. And this meetng was certainly one-of-a-kind. The 2019-2020 Grand Ofcers didn’t have to do a lot to pull of this session, but all were present in their respectve locatons. Julianna, the Grand Worthy Advisor, had the honor to be the frst to introduce Mom Fortenberry as Supreme Worthy Advisor! Guests were introduced from throughout our country and from a couple of internatonal jurisdictons. Since our Grand Ofcers missed both Homecoming and Grand Assembly, gif-giving was a highlight. Following the retring of Grand Ofcer pins and the GWA’s crown, lunch was had by all. Mom Fortenberry then announced Girls’ Grand Appointments for 2020-21 led by Katelyn Broadway, Grand Worthy Advisor. The Installaton followed and Ashley Master- son installed her sister, Katelyn, and the other Grand Ofcers. Congratulatons to this year’s appointments and to Mrs. Beth Williams, Tennessee’s new State Mother Advisor!! While everyone was behind a mask and hugs were kept to a minimum, guests enjoyed seeing friends in person. This year has helped each of us recognize the value of friends and social gatherings, of high-fves and gentle hugs and of the memories made as we have traveled together. We have learned new ways to cheer on our friends or to comfort each other in the tough tmes. Thanks Tennessee Rainbow for making the best of a new normal. I know that none of us will ever forget our virtual Grand Assem- bly August 15. It was wonderful being with our Nashville Grand Ofcers and seeing our other groups across the state on the computer screen. It was defnitely surreal hearing my name called as the new State Mother Advisor for 2020-2021. Mom Fortenberry, I can never thank you enough for this great honor. Technology has been a defnite blessing during this pandemic. When we couldn't be together, we have been able to connect with our Rainbow Sisters through Zoom and Facetme. The Grand Ofcers have even been able to chat on the "GroupMe" app. At long last, we were able to assemble at our beautful camp on October 3 for an autumn Camp Day. It was a crisp and beautful autumn day, but the best part was the great fellowship enjoyed by everyone. I hope we will be able to travel to see our beautful Rainbow Sisters across the state in the Spring. A special shout out goes to my sweet page, Erin Smallman of Holston Assembly. I simply can't wait to meet you in person! Don't forget to pick up a beautful T-shirt, pin, or mascot and join us in Neverland!
