Yesterday,Minister of Energy and Water Resources Wilfred Abrahams showered the workers with praise, noting that it is through them that the calls to the BWA are now up to date. He also commended the work of the union for making the project a reality. He was at the time giving an update on the Extended Hours Burst Programme at Tamarind Ave just off Country Road where crews were working on repairing a burst which had only been called in the day before. Minister Abrahams described the project as a major victory for the BWA. He said a concerted effort was made to erase the “us against them” mentality which existed in the past, noting that there is a more harmonious relationship between the government, the workers and the union. Minister Abrahams explained that an intensive process was undertaken where every aspect of the BWA was deconstructed and reconstructed to see how processes could be improved. “A large emphasis in that deconstruct-reconstruct exercise was to get feedback from the people who are actually involved in the processes. Management does not know it all. I am a politician, I am a lawyer,I was trained as a lawyer. My knowledge of water is what I learned since I came to the ministry and I became a Minister... 'Behold the results of out labor,' she said."-Defoe. THE WAR WHOOP OF NORWICH UNIVERSITY NORTHFIELD, VERMONT FOR THE YEAR 1908 WHOOP THE FOURTH PUBLISHED BY THE CLASS OF 1909 NORTHFIELD NEWS PRESS NORTHFIELD, VT. 1908 Introduction. Greetings to all *WAR-WHOOPERS." This is the time when it is up to the class of '09 to WHOOP-'er up and we ask all to join us. Three years we have apparently lain dormant but gradually working ourselves up to the point of publishers, great and good. Now it is done, and we have aimed to hit every one to see how many would stand the test of madness, and then, too, we wanted to say some pretty things about you. "It is up to you" to decide as to our fulfillment of this end. We have anticipated that we would have to publish a book and in fact the natural course of events would have forced it upon us anyway and so we might as well take up the duty cheerfully. Some of you may not like the cover, others may not like the pictures and still others may not like the text proper but doubtless it never has occurred to you that your likes or dislikes were the least of our worries. However, the work is done and now stands ready for your criticism, adverse or otherwise. You must be ready with one or the other. Any man who cannot criticise is about as good as a dead man. WHOOP-'er-up for us then and let as be the whole 44push'1 for a while and then we will be willing to "skiddoo" and, like the swan, give one last, long shriek and sink back into the old rut again.

A lot of trivia and a great look at some famous Hollywood alumni unscreened!By debQuite an interesting read! The letters between Kirk and Anne did get pretty tedious not too long into the book. However, the insights that they both told about themselves and others in LaLa land were very interesting. They hung out with and knew quite a lot of the Hollywood elite. Of course, Kirk did turn 100 years old in 2016. I do remember him accepting an award after his stroke.

  • Barcelona Beats Espanyol in Brutal Copa Cup Match
Sports FRIDAY, JANUARY 8, 2016 Everton beats Man City in 1st leg of FA cup semi LIVERPOOL: A Merseyside derby in the English League Cup final was closer to reality after Everton beat Manchester City 2-1 in the first leg of their semifinal on Wednesday, with in-form Romelu Lukaku grabbing the winner. Lukaku scored his 19th goal of the season when he headed home late at Goodison Park, giving Everton a deserved lead to take to City for the second leg on Jan. 27. Liverpool, Everton’s close neighbor and biggest rival, leads Stoke 1-0 after the first leg of the other semifinal. The Merseyside clubs met in the 1984 final, which Liverpool won, during a period in which they were the dominant teams in the country. There are still 90 minutes to go in both matchups - the second legs are in three weeks - but Everton manager Roberto Martinez said his team will take confidence from the manner of this victory, outplaying City at times. Ramiro Funes Mori put Everton ahead in first-half injury time, steering home a rebound from close range after Ross Barkley’s shot was parried out, and the hosts were pressing for a second goal - perhaps over-zealously - when City equalized on a counterattack in the 76th. Sergio Aguero controlled a long clearance forward and had only two defenders in front of him on the halfway line. The striker laid in a perfectly weighted pass for substitute Jesus Navas, who had sprinted upfield in support and met the ball with a first-time diagonal shot past goalkeeper Joel Robles.

The 37-year-old captained a Basque Country team that also featured fellow Spain internationals Inaki Williams, Inigo Martinez and Asier Illarramendi against Venezuela - the world's 32nd best side. As they are not an 'official' team, they are not part of Fifa's rankings - but they still won 4-2 in front of a crowd of 15,000 at Alaves' Mendizorrotza stadium https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/45834955 Page 1 of 5 Basque Country: The Spain internationals playing for a different team - BBC Sport 11/11/18, 717 AM in Vitoria-Gasteiz. "To be able to become official, it is necessary to show that you have a team capable of competing in international tournaments," said coach Mikel Etxarri. The squad is selected from players born in the autonomous region in northern Spain, as well as the neighbouring regions of Navarre and the French Basque Country. The Basque Country has a large degree of self-rule, its own language and cultural traditions, and Basque Football Federation general secretary Kepa Allica said Friday's match, their first since December 2016, was "more than a game". Players can play for both Spain and the Basque Country because the latter is not affiliated with Fifa or Uefa, but that is their ultimate goal.
