Surprise! Savannah Guthrie Is Married and Pregnant

By Louisa Gonzales

Savannah Guthrie and Michael Feldman secretly tied the knot this past weekend in a private ceremony. According to People, the couple said their “I do’s” in front a small gathering of family and friends, about 80 to 90 people. The NBC anchor Guthrie, 42, and Feldman, 45, told their quests to keep their marriage a secret until Guthrie could reveal the information herself on air during the Today Monday morning. That wasn’t the only surprising news the lovebirds revealed that day. After the pair broke the news of their plans to keep their marriage hush-hush until the right time, they told quests, while the NBC News “Special Report” music played in the background, that they were expecting. Sources reported after the big news, every one of the guest “jumped” to their feet in excitement. This will be the romantic mates, who first met and began dating in 2008, first child together.

What are some advantages to keeping your wedding under wraps?

Cupid’s Advice:

Every couple wants different things and has different ideas on marriage. Once you’re engaged and decide to start planning your wedding, know that you’ll most likely face a few struggles along the way, but it will be worth it in the end, once you see your beau walking down the aisle or standing in front of you. A marriage is between you and the other person you choose to spend your life with, and if you want to keep your wedding private or have a big affair, it’s your choice. Cupid explains some advantage to keeping your wedding under wraps:

1. It will make it more special: Getting married is one of the biggest and most sacred moments that will happen in your life. How romantic and intimate would it be to share your special day with just the people closest to you, as opposed to the whole world. These days everyone is posting every detail about their lives on some sort of social media, which in some cases can take away the magic of it all. By keeping your marriage just between you, your lover and the people you cheirsh it will show how much you honor and want to protect this special moment and your significant other.

2. Less stress: There’s a lot of pressure when it comes to getting married, why add-on more pressure with worrying about what other people will think? For a private or secret wedding to work you need to only let the people closest to you know, to decrease the risks of word getting out. With smaller and more intimate wedding gatherings, there is less stress and worry about pleasing other people. Plus, the stress that comes with planning a wedding for everyone, takes away from the fact you are getting married for yourself, because you and your sweetheart want to.

3. It will keep the wedding yours: The choice to get married is one of the biggest decisions any couple will make. Choosing to keep your wedding under wraps will show how important and special the pending marriage is to you. It will also keep you focused and help you remember what’s important when planning for the big day. The one’s getting married are you and your partner, no one else, so the two you should get the wedding you want without hearing from other people on how or when you should get married. The less people who know, the bigger the chance you’ll won’t let other people influence you.

Celebrity Interview: ‘DWTS’ Contestant Candace Cameron Bure Says “Dance Parties” Have Always Been Her Favorite Family Activity!

By Whitney Johnson

Earlier this month, when Good Morning America announced the line-up for season 18 of Dancing with the Stars, Full House fans were excited to see Candace Cameron Bure back in the spotlight. And she’s just as thrilled to be a part of the cast: “I’ve always been a fan of the show. Plus, this is probably the most excited I’ve seen my family get over something that I’m doing!” she shares in our celebrity interview.

Candace Cameron Bure Opens Up About Her Family and New Book in Celebrity Interview

Daughter Natasha was particularly happy about her mom’s new role. “She was just freaking out,” the star says with a laugh. “She wanted to know all about the other celebrities on the show. She’s been coming with me to my weekend rehearsals too.”

Once her sons Maksim and Lev met her partner, two-time champion Mark Ballas, they got into it too. “They just thought he was so cool,” she reveals. Viewers can expect to see her kids as well as her husband Valeri in the audience cheering her on each week.

Cameron Bure has certainly been keeping busy, both on and off the small screen. Most recently, the New York Times best- selling author published her second book, Balancing It All: My Story of Juggling Priorities and Purpose. As for how she manages the never-ending juggling act of being a wife, celebrity mom, actress, and writer, “it’s about big picture prioritizing and realizing what’s most important in your life. You have to make sure that your top three priorities really stay in place.”

She adds, “For me, it’s God and family and then my work and social life and all of the rest of the stuff in between. But if God and family aren’t in that first and second position, everything else in my life really does become unbalanced.”

DWTS Star on Her Celebrity Marriage

Of course, her husband plays a significant role in helping her hold everything together. “He’s an incredibly-involved father to our children and a supportive partner to me. Our lives are really stressful, yet our family is our priority,” she shares about her celebrity marriage. “He’s just a wonderful man, and I feel really blessed to have him.”

The famous couple, who married when they were only 20 years old, first connected over their similar backgrounds. “I lived a very full life before then, as had my husband. We both had been working children: He was playing hockey, and I had been acting since I was five,” she explains in our celebrity interview. “We were both very ready to get married and start a family.”

As for what keeps their 17-year celebrity marriage so strong, the blonde simply states, “Common values and love for one another are the main two things. “

For other couples trying to make the most of their union, she stresses the importance of building up your partner to become who they’re meant to be. “When you take the focus off of yourself and focus on how you can help your spouse be better, that’s when your marriage will become better,” theDWTS contestant explains.

With her three kids getting older, it’s no surprise that her relationship with them is always changing. “It’s really fun to see the adults they’re becoming. We’re having more mature conversations, and I love the stage that we’re in,” she shares. “I have an open relationship with them, and nothing is off limits.”

That includes everything from conversations about “awkward, adult topics” to family dance parties. “It’s one of our favorite things to do together. We turn off the lights, put the strobe lights on, and just crank the electronic music,” she divulges. “We have a blast!” While she has no professional dance experience, she loves being the first one on the dance floor at weddings and parties. Cameron Bure and Ballas have been working on a contemporary dance for tonight’s Dancing with the Stars premiere. “I have a lot of bruises all over my body, so I’m falling down a lot,” the author shares about their routine. “I’m a fairly athletic person, so I asked Mark to incorporate that into our dance. We have some lifts, which will be fun.”

Of her future on the show, she reveals that she really wants to do the Viennese Waltz. “It’s just so classical and beautiful.” She’s dreading those “dances that have a ton of footwork” but adds that “Mark actually thinks I’ll be pretty good at it. It’s such complicated choreography. Those are the ones that make me nervous.”

When it comes to her competition, she’s seen Big Time Rush star James Maslow rehearse and says he’s fabulous. Tonight, though, she’s most looking forward to seeing Paralympic snowboarder Amy Purdy dance. “I think a lot of people are excited to watch her. We’re just curious to see how she’s going to move to all of those steps,” she says. “When I’m feeling slightly challenged, I immediately think of her and think, ‘What am I complaining about? I have two feet.’”

Cupid’s Advice:

Outsiders aren’t always your best friends. They will nitpick and find every single way to taint the connection between you and your partner. Consider this relationship advice from Cupid:

1. Maintain a sense of mystery: Nowadays, many couples share their most intimate moments to complete strangers without even realizing it. From happy times to the occasional arguments, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram make it easy to reveal all. Instead, keep your feelings to yourself and let others think what they want about your relationship and love.

2. Focus on the positives: You may feel the urge to air your dirty laundry to family and friends, but be careful. Yes, it can be pretty tempting to vent about something your partner did or didn’t do, but if you continuously tell your loved ones the negatives, they’ll soon forget the positives. Remember to highlight the good times as well as the bad times.

By Kristin Mattern

What would St. Patrick’s Day be without a bar crawl? Grab your leprechaun love and something green — because on St. Patty’s Day, everyone is a little Irish! Make a day of it and start the morning off by viewing a parade with your sweetie. Then head over to the local strip to tour the bars. Once you and your cutie are tired of the bar scene, head back home to keep the party going with your friends. The two of you are sure to strike a pot of gold with this fun date idea!

Related Link: First Date Outfit Ideas: Dinner and Drinks Many towns have their own St. Patty’s Parade, but if your’s doesn’t, look up parades in cities nearest you. In Chicago, they even dye the river green for the occasion! What a sight to see. If you’re in New Orleans, you might just get a kiss or set of beads from a green-costumed parade goer. Set out for adventure with your love as the two of you get to see bagpipers, leprechauns, all manner of floats, and, of course, men in kilts. Get really decked out with shamrock necklaces and “Kiss me, I’m Irish” shirts. It’s the perfect excuse to plant one on your honey as you watch the parade!

After all the floats have made their way to the end of the parade, get your babe and friends together for a bar crawl. Some cities have guided tours you have to book ahead of time. Visit PubCrawls.com to find one in a city near you. The advantage to booking a pub crawl is you and your group are guided around a pre-determined route, don’t have to pay covers, and sometimes get one free drink included in the price of the tour. Also, you might be able to avoid some of the longer lines.

However, if you like to fly by the seat of your pants and the luck of the Irish is on your side, plan your own bar crawl ahead of time. Map out your route so you know where you and your cutie are headed. You might even want to call ahead so you know if the bars have covers or if they are only open to tours that day. Then go wild and drink some green beer in honor of St. Patrick! Just make sure someone is the designated driver or you have plans to ride public transportation home.

When you and your crew have sampled all the Irish Car Bombs and Guinness you can stomach, head back home to keep the party going. Play traditional Irish melodies at home, or toss on the Dropkick Murphy’s or Flogging Molly to reach your inner Irish Rocker. You and your partner can host an Irish dinner party by serving up some Corn Beef and Cabbage, easy to make in a crock-pot, and provide green cupcakes and other green-dyed goodies for dessert. Or serve up a traditional Irish Soda bread. Make Irish Coffee to compliment your delicious end to your Bar Crawl Party date with your honey.

Erin go bragh to you and your partner on this fun St. Patrick’s Day date!

1. Show physical affection in public: The number one way to show your love is through physical affection. Next time you see your significant other give them a big hug or a quick kiss on the cheek or lips even when they’re with their family or friends: Hold their hand walking down the street or wrap your arms around their waist. Single in Stilettos Show: 3 Biggest Dating Mistakes by Career Women On today’s Single in Stilettos show, CupidsPulse.com Executive Editor and Founder Lori Bizzoco talks to Suzanne Oshima about the the biggest dating mistakes made by career women. Q&A: Is It Bad to Double-Text a Guy? Question from Kelsi W.: I’ve been texting back and forth with a guy I recently met. We’ll be having a good conversation, but occasionally, he won’t respond to something I say. Is it bad to text him again later on about something else, or should I always wait until he texts me back?

Answer from Our Love Experts:

Suzanne Oshima, Matchmaker: In the early stages of dating, it’s a push/pull dynamic, so if you keep trying to pull him towards you, he might start to push you away. If you have a great conversation and he doesn’t respond to something you say, then just leave it be. If you text him again, it may come across as a little desperate, and his response might be to ignore you even further.

Trust me, if a guy likes you and is interested in dating you, he will pursue you and text you. But if you’re doing all the pursuing…then how can you ever really be sure that he’s interested in you?

Robert Manni, Guy’s Guy: Not knowing the context of your texts or how many you’re sending each day, I sense a bit of insecurity here. Unfortunately, texting has replaced real conversation and meaningful dialogue between two potential partners. I’d give the guy a pass if he doesn’t respond to each and every one. He may read them and mentally acknowledge your message before returning to whatever he’s doing. If you feel a need to close the loop on each text, I suggest picking up the phone or meeting him in person.

Don’t take it personally if you find out that not every guy has the time or the desire to text back and forth until closing each thread. That said, you deserve his respect and shouldn’t allow him to blow you off if that’s what he’s doing. But keep in mind that texting is only one part of getting to know someone. A phone call or a glass of wine are great ways to better connect. And wouldn’t you prefer to hear your partner’s voice and see his smiling face rather than read his text message?

Paige Wyatt, Reality Star: When it comes to texting, people are often hard to read, especially someone you’ve just met. Try to get a sense of how he feels about you from the texts you do receive. Does he seem enthusiastic and interested in you? Or is it more of a bland, boring conversation?

If he seems really into you, then he’s probably just busy and might to be able to respond. If that’s the case, you should shoot him a sweet and simple text just to say you were thinking of him and ask him to text you when he can. If he isn’t very into the conversation or seems distant, you may want to wait until he texts you again.

Remember that every guy is different when it comes to texting. Some love to talk all day, while others hate it. It’s all a matter of getting to know him and his style of communication.

How do you know whether to get back together with your ex?

Cupid’s Advice:

Sometimes when a relationship ends, the connection doesn’t go away. Deciding whether you should get back together with someone is hard, especially if you don’t know what the best choice to make is. Cupid has some advice on how ton know if you should get back together with your ex:

1. You’ve worked past issues out: The first major thing you need to think about before even considering on rekindling the flames with an ex is if the two of you have talked and worked on past relationship mistakes. It’s not good to bury issues, because they will come back to haunt you. There was probably a reason you broke up in the first place. Unless you’ve worked out the problems or have come to a mutual understanding, you might just end up breaking up again for the same reasons.

2. The attraction is still there: If you still get butterflies in your stomach every time you see or speak with them, chances are you’re not over them. If you feel like you will regret not giving your ex lover another chance, especially if you still have the hots for them, take the plunge and get back together. Make sure you are still attracted to them emotionally and physically before dating again however, because a solid relationship foundation needs both.

Giving your relationship another go might give you the closure you both need, or could be the beginning to a long-lasting union.

Our Relationship Taglines for the Ladies of ‘Real Housewives of New York’ By Brittany Stubbs

Some of our favorite ladies are back in season 6 of Bravo’s popular show The Real Housewives of New York City, which premieres tonight! Returning to the small screen are Aviva Drescher, Carole Radziwill, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, and Heather Thomson, joined by the newest housewife Kristen Taekman, a model and businesswoman.

The series follows these six women as they manage their hectic social calendars, careers, children, and love lives in the Big Apple. Outside of relaxing in the Hamptons and surviving the occasional catfight, if there’s one thing these women know, it’s relationships. From married to widowed to divorced and dating with kids, CupidsPulse.com thought it’d be fun to explore their diverse relationships. While the ladies each have their own witty taglines that describe their personalities in the show’s intro, we couldn’t help but think they deserved ones for their love lives too. If these women had relationship taglines, here’s what they’d be: Aviva Drescher – You Can Find Love When You Least Expect It: The way that this housewife met The One goes to show that you never know where you’re going to find your soulmate. The couple had a chance meeting at Bed Bath & Beyond. Drescher, a single mother at the time, and now-husband Reid, a Wall Street investment banker, began talking as their young children played together in the aisles.

It was only a matter of time after that shopping trip that the two got married and began growing their family together. While the blonde beauty has an impressive education, including a Bachelors of Arts from Vassar College, a Masters degree in French from New York University, and a JD from The Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, she devotes her time to her husband and taking care of their four children.

Carole Radziwill – Love Stories Can Be Epic, No Matter Their Length: Before Radziwill took on the titles of best-selling author, award-winning journalist, and Princess, she was just a girl from Suffern, New York, pursuing her dreams of writing. Working with ABC News, she was assigned to all kinds of stories that kept her traveling and writing around the world. One day, she was sent to work on a story that Anthony Radziwill was producing. While Anthony was as passionate about news as Carole, there was something that made them different: He had a royal lineage going back four hundred years. Lucky for her, this real-life prince soon became her Prince Charming.

The couple fell in love quickly, passionate about their careers and each other. In 1994, the two were happily married, unaware they were living anything but a fairytale. Tragically, Anthony was diagnosed with cancer and passed away on August 10, 1999. Through her pain, the reality star began to write about the devastating battle of cancer and loss of her husband, eventually leading to her first book What Remains: A Memoir of Fate, Friendship, and Love. The memoir spent over 20 weeks on The New York Times Bestseller List and was nominated for the “Books for a Better Life” award.

Radziwill split from her rocker boyfriend Russ Irwin who we met during Season 5, but she continues to date. We might even get a look at her latest love interest this season!

Ramona Singer – Leaving is Sometimes Easier Said Than Done: Singer, best known for her go-getter attitude and opinionated speech, is suffering from what is one of the most devastating issues in a relationship: infidelity. After being married to Mario for over two decades, she discovered that her husband was unfaithful. It was reported that he had been having an affair with a younger woman named Kasey Dexter for eight months. As if that’s not heartbreaking enough, the housewife had to witness the affair first-hand when she walked in on them in the Singer’s Hamptons home. The encounter led to Ramona calling 911 for a domestic dispute.

Although Singer has filed for divorce, it remains unclear if the couple will go through with it or not. Just weeks after separating, the couple was spotted on a date together at Bowlmor Lanes in New York City. Although the reality star has always preached the importance of being independent and able to provide for herself, completely moving on from a marriage of 25 years — despite her husband’s betrayal — might be tougher than she thinks.

Sonja Morgan – When It Comes to Love, Age Is Nothing But a Number: Morgan has always been open about her love for men of all ages…and rarely are these men her own age. The housewife was married to John A. Morgan for ten years. Not only are many fans surprised to discover that the he proposed after the first date but also that he was 33 years older than her.

The couple’s divorce was finalized in 2008, and since then, Morgan hasn’t given up on her search for true love. In the season 6 teaser, she says, “I’m going below 30 years old,” in regards to some of the men she’s been seeing. FellowRHONY cast member Heather Thomson claims, “Sonja has as many men as she has interns…and some of them are the same age.”

Heather Thomson – You Can Be the Wife AND the Boss: Thomson is married to Jonathen Schindler, and unlike many women, Thomson decided to keep her own name after she got married. While the happy couple have two children together, wife and mother are only part of this housewife’s description: She’s also the creator of “Yummie by Heather Thomson,” the popular and innovative shapewear line. Plus, she’s designed for and styled some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, Tina Knowles, and Sean “Diddy” Combs. She was the founding Design Director for his Sean John line and is credited as a major force behind multiple CFDA award nominations.

Although this season reveals that some women refer to Thomson’s powerful presence as bossy, her husband shows that men do like women who take charge and are not intimidated by their success.

Kristin Taekman – Relationships Are a Balancing Act: Taekman is the newest member of the gang. She’s been married to her husband Josh for a decade, and they have two beautiful children together. The couple met and fell in love in NYC, and Josh ended up proposing on Kristin’s favorite holiday, Halloween, in Central Park. While she loves being a wife and mother, she’s trying to balance her family life with her modeling career — a challenge that many married career women understand!

Can you relate to any of these women’s love lives? Share with us what your relationship tagline would be and why! To see more of these ladies and their relationships, tune into The Real Housewives of New York premiere tonight at 9/8c on Bravo!

’ Contestant Emily Piriz Says, “I Couldn’t Ask for a Better Boyfriend”

By Liz Kim.

Emily Piriz may be done on the American Idol stage, but she believes this is only the beginning of her music career. The 18-year-old is no stranger to reality television, having auditioned for The X-Factor, America’s Got Talent, and The Voice before finally making it through on Idol. She made the brave decision to sing Jennifer Lopez’s “Let’s Get Loud” this week, a song that she used “to sing along to, hairbrush in hand.” Of her final performance, she says, “I don’t regret doing it. That song is home to me.”

While Lopez and Keith Urban applauded her energy, Harry Connick Jr. felt her vocals were overpowered by the band and that she lost a little bit of control. Although harsh, she appreciates the criticism. “I like when people tell me what I need to work on. You don’t improve if you only get positive feedback.” The judges also told her to be confident and this piece of advice, the singer believes, is what will stay with her long after the show ends.

Piriz and her fans were moved by a surprise video message from her boyfriend Matthew Walesch of the 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines Fox Company. She admits she was a little shaken. “I had no idea they were going to show that video,” she shares. “It was kind of hard to sing afterwards. It was hard to see him because I missed him and hadn’t seen him in a long time. But I sucked it up and tried to use that emotion in my performance.”

When asked about her relationship, the contestant thanked Walesch for always standing by her side. “BeforeAmerican Idol, he would go to shows and open mics with me. And likewise, I supported him joining the Marines. He’s been with me since day one, and I couldn’t ask for a better boyfriend.”

Their relationship may be long-distance, but she believes that love is possible even if you aren’t physically near each other. Her advice for other couples in similar situations is “just trust each other and keep it free. Don’t suffocate each other.” She adds, “Matt and I have a great relationship because we love each other and trust each other and don’t constantly keep up on the other person. We support each other. You just have to be happy with each other, no matter what you’re doing.”

Cupid’s Advice:

Welcoming a baby into the world is an exciting event. Babies can bring couples together or pull them a part. Discussing and picking out your baby’s name can be difficult, especially when you both have specific names in mind. How can the two of you find a way to civilly pick out a name? Cupid has some advice on how to compromise with your partner on baby names:

1. Remember you want to pick a baby name not pick a fight: There is a way to peacefully pick out baby names, you just have to know how to pick your battles. If the baby name is truly important to you, your partner will most likely understand and agree to a compromise, but before you go there ask yourself how important is the name to your really? More important than your marriage? These are questions you need to ask yourself, when you’re set on a name, but you beau is against it.

2. Be together on this: Couples who are a team and work together have stronger relationships than those who don’t. Sit down, maybe go through a baby names book or make a list of possible baby names together. If your lovebird is against certain names you really like ask if they are willing to agree on an alternative. It could be fun to find a baby name together, just make sure it’s a name you will both love and be happy with.

3. Be reasonable: When choosing baby names be fair. Don’t suggest random or odd names that have no real significance to you or your significant other. You don’t want to look back later in life and not be happy with your choice of baby name nor do you want to look back and say, “yea maybe we should have gone with your suggestion”. If you are both honest and willing to be smart about the potential names it will making deciding on one much easier.

By April Littleton

I never understand why people announce the birth of their children,” Ealy said in February. Cupid’s Advice:

Many people like to keep their personal life private, but have a hard time doing that without offending other individuals who may be a part of their life. Cupid is here to help:

1. Keep personal information quiet: Keep any secrets or other general information you’re not comfortable with letting everyone known under wraps. If you’re constantly around people who like to bring up personal subjects, stay away from them or simply tell them you’re not interested in talking about your private life.

If you decide to post all of your business via Twitter or Instagram, it’s guaranteed almost everyone you didn’t want to know about your private life will be the first ones with the inside scoop. Avoid posting any pictures or statuses if it has to do with your loved ones.

By Brittany Stubbs

Set in and around the capital of the high-stakes country music business, Private Lives of Nashville Wives follows a group of driven women as they navigate their lives through professional challenges, family issues, and social relationships in the South. Award-winning singer-songwriter Gary Chapman and his wife Cassie Piersol Chapman are two stars of TNT’s new reality TV series. With a 23-year age difference, there has been some speculation about the couple’s celebrity marriage, but they’re here to prove that their relationship and love is the real deal.

Cassie Piersol Chapman Opens Up About Celebrity Marriage

The twosome first met on a tiny island in the Bahamas. “I had no idea who he was,” Cassie explains. “Without Internet or cell service on the island, it’s not like I had Google to look him up! I knew he was older than me, but I wasn’t aware that he was 23 years older. At that point though, I didn’t care.” Cassie then moved to Nashville in order to be with her man. “You can’t help who you fall in love with.”

Related Link: Dating with an Age Gap

In Gary, she found a partner who is patient and kind and loves her unconditionally, something she had never felt before. People have given looks and made remarks about her being a gold digger and a trophy wife, but she never lets negative comments phase her. “I don’t care what people say. They can call me whatever they want.”

Despite some criticism from others, the famous couple have truly found more advantages than challenges to their age gap. Gary claims that the reason their relationship and love works so well is because of their personalities and constant support for one another. “We genuinely have met in the middle,” he says of their celebrity marriage. “My life experience is deeper than hers at this point, just because of the calendar, and while I believe she appreciates and enjoys the wisdom I’ve accumulated, she keeps me young and reminds me that if you want to live a happy life, you can’t take everything so seriously.”

One thing that the celebrity couple does take seriously is their desire to have children, something that viewers will see throughout the season. While other Housewives series tend to focus on the drama between women (although we’ll see a little of that too), Nashville Wives shines more light on family dynamics. “The husbands and kids are more involved,” Cassie says in our celebrity interview. “I think it makes the show more relatable and interesting.”

Reality TV Celebrity Couple on Their Adoption

For the Chapman’s, the cameras will capture the emotional and stressful process of adopting their baby girl. Through this life-changing experience, Cassie became an advocate for private adoption. “I want to start a non-profit organization to help birth mothers find adoptive families. It’ll be a private adoption service rather than an agency, because I don’t think a lot of birth mothers know that’s a possibility.” The couple agrees that the private adoption path is a much better process for both the child and the parents. “We have a very open adoption with the birth mother,” Cassie shares. “She visits all the time, within reason, and I love that our daughter will know where she came from.”

Related Link: Hugh Jackman on the Joys of Adoption

Although they are busy being new parents, the duo understands the importance of making time for just the two of them. Making their relationship and love a priority doesn’t always mean having to go out for a date night though. “When we go out, we inevitably end up running into people we know and talking to them, and then suddenly, we’re just waving to one another across the room,” Gary says with a laugh. “We don’t actually end up getting to spend that much time together!” For this reason, they often have more fun just being home. After the baby falls asleep, they enjoy cooking dinner, having a glass of wine, and hanging out on the couch.

It’s not hard to tell these two lovebirds are crazy about each other. Although Gary endured two painful celebrity divorces before meeting Cassie, he didn’t let past wounds keep him from falling in love again. “You have to decide if the experience of falling for someone and having a beautiful relationship is worth the risk of the pain that you know is potentially out there. I made the choice to take that risk, and I’m so glad I did.”

While Gary knows that this marriage will be his last, he definitely hasn’t had his last wedding. The couple, now married for six years, have had four celebrity weddings: a small ceremony that Gary’s father performed, a mountaintop wedding in Breckenridge, Colorado, a ceremony at a Renaissance fair with Cassie’s grandmother, and of course, one in Las Vegas.

Despite all of these ceremonies, the couple is making plans for at least one more. “We’ve yet to have a big, fancy wedding here in town where all of our friends can come,” Gary explains. Though a date hasn’t been set yet, it will be a traditional ceremony. “I want my dad to walk me down the aisle, and my mom to button me up — that kind of thing,” Cassie shares. “I also want our daughter and Gary’s children, my bonus kids, to be a part of the celebration as well.”

By Sanetra Richards

Wedding bells will soon be ringing for actress Allison Williams. Although you may be fooled by her role of a single woman on the HBO show Girls, in reality the 25-year-old is happily in love. According to People, Williams is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Ricky Van Veen. “I’d love to be a mom — and not have to bring my kids into my trailer … Or a balance [of both], but you’ve [got to] call it on the fly to a certain extent,” said Williams in a recent statement withGlamour Magazine. Also, during a Larry King interview in reference to her now fiancé, Williams stated that her father “likes him a lot.” What do you do if your parents don’t approve of your partner?

Cupid’s Advice:

One of the main things we tend to fear the most in the beginning stages of a relationship is the meeting of the parents step. We want it to go smoothly with absolutely no problems — all rainbows and unicorns. So the thought of your parents disliking your companion only adds to the discomfort. However, this does not always mean you should end the romance right away. Cupid has a few tips on what to do if your parents disapprove of your significant other:

1. Don’t fret: For many, a parent’s opinion matters the most, but do not let this tear your relationship apart. You may constantly find yourself between a rock and a hard place if you allow outsiders, including parents, to jeopardize your companionship.

2. Speak well: Try to avoid sharing any negative comments about one to the other. Your parents have already formed a perception of your partner in their heads, and all it could possibly take is an emotional rant to worsen the situation (same goes for the other). Inform them of the good things that are happening in your romance.

3. Give them time: Some say first impressions are everything and maybe even a deal breaker; while others believe in second chances. If you follow the first two steps thoroughly, there is a possibility your parents will eventually come around. Don’t be afraid to all come together and share dialogue . . . cordially. Once it is shown you and your partner are genuinely happy, they will likely be happy for you. Keep in mind, your parents will always have your best interest at heart. ‘American Idol’ Contestant Kristen O’Connor: My Boyfriend “Never Held Me Back from Pursuing My Dream”

Interview by Whitney Johnson. Written by Liz Kim.

This week, American Idol decided to let the audience get a better sense of the thirteen finalists by giving the singers free rein in terms of song choice. Kristen O’Connor, a 24-year old nurse tech, chose Kelly Clarkson’s “Beautiful Disaster.” On Wednesday night’s show, she explained, “This song is typically about a boy, but I interpreted this song to be about me.” Judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick Jr. gave generally positive — but slightly underwhelmed — feedback.

O’Connor, along with M.K. Nobilette and Malaya Watson, was in the bottom three, and she admits that, while she was disappointed to be eliminated, she wasn’t shocked. Competing against highly talented singers requires that each and every performance be the best that it can be. “It’s unpredictable at this point — who America loves will change from week to week. It was important for me to go out with my head held high and on a good note. I wanted to leave in a way that I could be proud of.”

Although she may not have gotten rave reviews for her last performance, O’Connor remains upbeat and confident. “One of my strengths, I think, is that I have a really strong voice. Chris Daughtry said my voice was his favorite, and Randy Jackson said I gave him chills. I’ve gotten a lot of really awesome compliments.”

It’s this confidence that has driven the Florida native to sing ever since she was a child. “My experiences growing up definitely prepared me for the competition. I learned everything I know about music from singing in church. I was a music major during my first year of college too.”

She’s also lucky enough to have unwavering love from her family, friends, and longtime boyfriend Renny Whidden. Speaking about Whidden, she thanked him for supporting her throughout her journey. “He never held me back from pursuing my dreams. He is so understanding and gets how important this is to me.” She credits trust with being the major quality that helps them maintain a long distance relationship.

She may not have won the competition, but O’Connor is leaving American Idol with new friends. “Before the show even started, Malaya and I were talking, and we thought it would be the two of us in the bottom. We both struggled with the song choices we made. We were just kind of holding on to each other, saying, ‘No matter what happens, we’re going to stay friends’.”

The aspiring singer has no plans to give up her dreams of having a career in music — but she does have a practical backup plan for her future. She recently graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in nursing. “I’m very self-sufficient and have worked very hard for everything I have. I knew that I had to get a degree in something that would give me security,” she shared.

She also said that one of the perks of nursing, besides helping others, is that it gives her enough time to keep singing. As for what sort of album she hopes to make, “I see myself as an R&B/pop/soulful singer. I love sultry music.”

By Brittany Stubbs

As good of an actor as he might be, faking it doesn’t continue off-screen for Matthew Rhys. While his character keeps up with fake identity just fine in FX’s showThe Americans, Rhys denies being able to do it himself, according to People. “I get anxiety just playing a fictitious part on a drama series,” the actor, who plays a KGB spy posing as an American, told reporters. “When I think of those men who actually live a duplicitous life and have multiple marriages or partners, I don’t know how they do it.” Good news for the woman in his life! What do you do if you feel like you’re not being yourself in your relationship?

Cupid’s Advice:

Nothing is worse than not feeling comfortable in your own skin, especially when it comes to the most intimate part of your life. Cupid has some advice:

1. Reevaluate your partner: If you feel you’re not being true to yourself, it’s important to consider your partner’s influence on this behavior. Are they to blame? If you feel they’re making you self-conscious and you can show who you really are, then you might not have met the person fit for you.

2. Appreciate yourself: Sometimes the only way to allow yourself to be “you” is to remind yourself how great you are. That may sound cheesy, but you’re one of a kind, so you might as well take advantage of what you have to offer.

3. Unveil the mask: The only way to stop acting is revealing who you truly are. Once you start showing the real you, you’ll feel more comfortable in both your own skin and your relationship itself.

How do you rise above a bitter breakup?

Cupid’s Advice:

Your mind may be running a million miles per minute and you may think the world is ending after a bad breakup, but those feelings are only temporary. It is possible to overcome and snap back even better than before. Cupid has some advice: 1. Come to terms: Understand it is a breakup — it happened for a reason. The relationship could have been toxic or maybe you all were not completely compatible. Whatever reason there may be, do not be afraid to accept it. You might even catch yourself exhaling a deep sigh of relief afterwards.

If you prefer to stay home, engage in a hobby, such as reading a novel or gardening. Your mind will be taken off of the sour thought of that breakup.

Having a child together is a big step in a couple’s relationship. Preparing and figuring out all the new things that comes with being pregnant and having a child is vital to make things run as smoothly as possible. 1. Learn what to expect: To understand and prepare for a new addition to your family, do your research and learn all the things that come with pregnancy, a newborn baby and being first time parents.
