OUTREACH INITIATIVES The following outreach initiatives were completed by the SEU during the reporting period: A. Participating in Job Fairs: 1. Job Fair – December 7-11, 2020. This was the “TAB Virtual Job Fair”. Event received some radio and website promotion. The SEU’s Director of Executive Operations posted listings on current job openings and reviewed resumes in search of potential candidates. B. Events Sponsored by Educational Institutions Related to Broadcasting Career Opportunities: 1. September 20, 2020 – Olivet Nazarene University Journalism Class. Via Zoom meetings, the SEU’s show host spoke to a journalism class at Olivet Nazarene University. He answered questions submitted by students regarding radio, including this station, plus interview skills, show preparation and execution. 2. February 23, 2021 – Olivet Nazarene University Journalism Class. Via Zoom meetings, the SEU’s show host spoke to a journalism class at Olivet Nazarene University. He answered questions submitted by students regarding radio, including this station, plus interview skills, show preparation and execution. C. Job Banks: 1. The SEU participated in job banks and internet programs designed to provide general information about opportunities in broadcasting and to encourage women and minorities to consider future employment. In addition, job openings have been posted on websites to ensure broad internet recruitment. EEO Training to Management-level Personnel: 1. The Salem Media Group Human Resources Vice President conducts monthly HR Network training sessions via teleconference and PowerPoint presentations, which include review of EEO policies and compliance. The SEU’s General Manager participate in these training sessions each month and then routinely communicate with the SEU’s management team members to keep all employees apprised of the company and SEU’s policy on equal opportunity employment.
