At the beginning of her life, Emily Griffin was born on March 20, 1972. She attended Naperville North High School in Naperville, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago), where she was a member of the Creative Writing Club and served as editor-in-chief of the school's newspaper. Griffin earned a bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University, where she twice majored in history and English, and served as a basketball team manager. She then attended the University of Virginia School of Law. After graduating from law school in 1997, she moved to Manhattan and worked in the Winston and Strawn litigation department. In 2001 she moved to London and began writing full-time. Her first novel for young adults, Lily Holding True, was rejected by eight publishers. Griffin began a new novel and later titled Rolling the Dice, which became the best-selling novel Something Borrowed. Griffin found an agent in 2002 and signed a two-book contract with St. Martin's Press. Making a change to something borrowed, she found inspiration for the sequel, Something Blue. Something Borrowed was released in the spring of 2004. He received positive reviews and made an extended new York Times bestseller list. Something Blue followed in 2005, and in 2006, her third, Baby Proof, made her debut. She spent 2007 finishing her fourth novel, Love One You S. All nine of her novels were international bestsellers. In May 2020, Emily Griffin publicly criticized Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, on Instagram, where she captioned a screenshot of a video Meghan Markle was reading to her son Archie on his first birthday, in support of Save the Children with Happy Birthday, Archie. In an apology posted on Instagram, Griffin stated that she absolutely loved the fact that a two-rac American woman was marrying the royal family, was shocked by any signs of racism against her and found only that Meghan and Harry had left the monarchy. For a time, she worked at a law firm in Manhattan, practicing litigation. Despite working as a lawyer, she always knew she wanted to write novels. Her fondest memories include her reading a lot and writing stories of her own. She was even the editor-in-chief of her school newspaper and was part of a creative writing club. She thinks she has become a lawyer to get some real work so that she can take less risk. She also feels that it was the right choice because she has gained so much skill and a lot of knowledge, things that she puts to good use today. She finally quit her job at her law firm, partly to write, but also because she didn't like the culture of a big law firm and the reality of actually practicing law. She will work on the novel in her spare time and work to pay off her student loans. Then, in 2001 (once her novel was over), she moved to London so she could write full-time. Emily Griffin wrote a novel for young adults called Lily Holding Truth, which was rejected by eight publishers. She later began working on another novel, which she called Rolling the Dice, which would become Something Borrowed. She was able to find an agent in 2002 and was able to get two novels dealing with the Press of St. Martin. While reviewing this novel, she came up with the idea for a sequel (which was released with the title Something Blue). At one point she had three U.S. top 150. Each of her books was a bestseller around the world. Emily Griffin lives with her three children and her husband. Darcy and this guy are due to get married in September, and discovers that she has a choice that she has to make. Right and wrong is divided into a line that can sometimes be blurred. The endings are not always as neat as we would like them to be. At times, you have to risk everything to win true happiness. Something Blue: This is the second novel in the series by Darcy and Rachel and was released in 2005. Darcy Rona was able to rely on her charm, her fiance (who is called Dex), her beauty, and Rachel (her best friend forever). That was all she ever needed in life. Or is it something she always thought before Dex decided to end their marriage. Then she found out why and blamed everyone but herself. Darcy goes to London and tries to remake his glamorous life on a new continent. Her luck is over as her test tricks don't work here. It's embarrassing. Only then will she be able to begin her journey for true love, forgiveness, and redemption.
