Duties

Demonstrated ability to undertake moderately complex to complex technical IT tasks and activities related to operating the AEC’s enrolment systems, system testing and data analysis with exceptional attention to detail. An ability to assist in the testing of system improvements and actively identify and recommend improvements to systems and processes. Elector and Roll Services sits within the Delivery and Support Branch and is responsible for managing the key operational aspects of the program to keep almost 17 million Australians correctly enrolled on the Australian Electoral Roll. The team works very closely with the IT section and other areas of the AEC to ensure that the systems are fit for purpose for the delivery of the program.

The Section also contains other teams who are responsible for key election delivery projects such as postal voting, contact centre and certified list scanning and it is expected that the successful applicant will have an involvement in those projects, particularly at election time.

Duties

The Project Officer supports the Assistant Director, Roll Products and Services in the administration of matters relating to the Roll Products program and the supply of electoral Roll data to various stakeholders.

The supply of Roll data to external stakeholders involves both the maintenance of existing extract procedures and schedules as well as the analysis of new requests, including the formation of recommendations to the Assistant Director.

During a federal electoral event voting services are coordinated by Queensland staff and a large temporary workforce. Queensland staff manage key functions and temporary staff are required to deliver a wide variety of voting services throughout Queensland.

Duties

The Divisional Office Manager (DOM) oversees the divisional workload including management of human, financial and administrative resources, providing leadership to deliver business outcomes. The role is responsible for the successful delivery of federal elections including supervision of a large contingent of temporary election staff. Duties

Reporting to the Head of Knowledge, The Senior Curator of Voyaging and Early Colonial History is a leadership role in the Curatorial and Research team tasked with the ongoing development of the museum’s important early colonial collections, material and research. The position manages a group of curators collectively tasked with developing the museum’s History and Ocean Environment narratives and program, and takes an important role in the museum’s Acquisitions Committee and in leading funding and high-level donation opportunities. You will provide expert advice in the area of early colonial maritime history in Australia and its regional and trans-national influences and making museum research and collections available to audiences through a range of programs. Key responsibilities will include:

Manage and develop the collections and collecting areas by providing expert research and curatorial advice on early colonial maritime history. Lead a curatorial team including overseeing workflows and resource allocation, contributions to exhibitions, education programs and online projects. Support the Museum’s digital outreach strategy ensure curatorial input to engage culturally diverse communities nationally and internationally. Conceive, and work with colleagues to develop immersive programs that engage audiences with Museum narratives through including exhibitions and other new media opportunities and public programs. Lead the development of the National Maritime Collection in the role’s core subject areas, making recommendations on the acquisition and disposal of objects. Realise the potential of the museum’s important early colonial and voyaging collections and research by engaging audiences with digital and online content as well as exhibitions and other programs. Research and develop curatorial content for exhibitions and public programs and provide leadership and expert curatorial input during exhibition and program development and review. Participate in the Museum’s Acquisitions Committee, review proposals for new acquisitions and take a leading role in monitoring the Museum’s policy obligations and processes PCOL obligations. Oversee staff training and awareness of PCOL in the museum’s acquisitions and loans procedures and provide curatorial input into periodic reviews of the Collection Development Policy. Actively seek external grants, funding, key donations, and provide support to the ANMM Foundation’s fund raising activities.

Key Selection Criteria:

Relevant Postgraduate qualification in a historical discipline Demonstrated knowledge of Early European and Asian voyaging in the Pacific and Indian Oceans relating to Australian and regional histories from the 15th century to the 18th century, including Chinese, South-East Asian and European voyages and trading in a colonial context, as well as early British colonial history pre-1901 and its relations with Indigenous histories. Extensive experience in management and curatorial in a Museum or similar cultural institution, and of working with academics, historians, and experts in the field in Museum and exhibition settings. Extensive experience liaising with potential donors, auction houses and collecting institutions. Successful record of obtaining grants, funding and high-level donations and important acquisitions. High level of knowledge and experience with Museum acquisitions policy and procedure, including Collection Development policies and PCOL loans and acquisitions policies and procedures. Experience working with digital teams and public programs in generating and producing online content from Museum collections and research that expands audience outreach. High level public engagement skills and experience in media, conferences, presentations and public speaking. Proven experience meeting project deadlines, working within budget constraints and working across multiple diverse projects simultaneously. Experience with Museum database systems such as TMS. The Central Budget Management System (CBMS) Operations Branch provides day-to-day management and support of CBMS to entity and business users. The CBMS Operations Branch manages the CBMS solution and ICT infrastructure. CBMS is an SAP based application.

The CBMS is the Whole-of-Government ICT system underpinning the budget and financial management of the Australian Government. It manages the flow of financial information between Finance and Australian Government entities to facilitate cash and appropriation management, the preparation of budget documentation and financial reporting.

The CBMS is used to:

prepare and publish documentation for the Federal Budget, Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook (MYEFO) and other estimates updates; manage annual appropriations, special appropriations and special accounts (collectively referred to as Cash Management); produce the whole-of-government monthly financial reporting; produce the whole-of-government annual financial reporting (ie. Our Ideal Candidate We are looking for an enthusiastic and accomplished capability developer to fill this senior role. You must have specialised knowledge in optoelectronic sensors, the skill to apply that knowledge to the design and development of scene generation tools and the data analysis capability to conduct model validation comparing synthetic scenes to real word imagery.

The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for an Office Assistant/ Assistant Photographer vacancy within the Communications and Corporate Relations Branch.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised administrative assistant with professional photography experience. Working with the Australian Parliament's photography unit, the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the AUSPIC office and studio, including the maintenance of the diary, booking system, phone lines and emails. The role will also involve working as a photographer in the team during peak periods.

To be successful in this role, you will be required to maintain a professional and calm demeanour, work collaboratively with stakeholders and provide services and information as required.

The National Museum of Australia established the Cultural and Corporate Shared Services Centre (CCSSC) in 2017 to provide a range of corporate and business services to small agencies across the APS, particularly in the arts sector. The CCSSC provides high quality, needs-based services for partner agencies including finance, payroll, ICT, business systems, and media services as well as joint procurement where relevant. The CCSSC is committed to working collaboratively and transparently with all its partner agencies.

The successful candidate will provide quality governance, reporting and secretariat duties, including relationship management of Australian Public Service Gazette Page 96 of 99 PS16 Daily Gazette Thursday - 22 April 2021 participating agencies.

Duties

The Strategy and Engagement Manager works closely with a range of staff across the Museum as well as partner agencies and external vendors to coordinate and deliver corporate services. In undertaking this work, the Manager ensures effective governance and accountability of the services provided.

As the Strategy and Engagement Manager you will:

Establish and maintain exceptional governance frameworks, policies and processes to support the CCSSC’s corporate services. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the Executive, senior managers and external stakeholders and act as the central point of contact in the CCSSC Office for external agencies. Prepare papers and coordinate Governance board meetings with CEOs of partner agencies; quarterly and six monthly performance reports for partners agencies; report to the Museum’s Executive and prepare Council papers as required; maintain issues and risk registers. Schedule and project manage forward schedule of service changes for partner agencies in consultation with internal business areas and external vendors. Provide reporting on service levels for services provided, agency usage and capacity trending for corporate services, and undertake annual agency surveys. Work with service areas to monitor and continuously improve services quality for partner agencies. Liaise with new agencies interested in onboarding, and develop costings and services proposals as required. Undertake other duties as required.

The Museum has an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join the Information Technology business unit as an Information Management Officer.

The NMA Information Technology business unit is comprised of a small and dynamic team that undertakes challenging and diverse work and operates in a busy but supportive environment.

The Information Management Officer role delivers a range of services to the Museum and to its Cultural and Corporate Shared Services Centre (CCSSC) partner agencies. A key service is Information Management, including information governance, policy development, user education and administration of Electronic Document & Records Management Systems (EDRMS) solutions.

The Museum and its CCSSC clients are on a transformation journey, moving from on-premise CM9 to SharePoint Online and other cloud solutions. The Information Management Officer will be required to liaise extensively with stakeholders at all levels across the Museum and with CCSSC partners to successfully embed the change.

An advanced understanding of information management and information security principles is important for this role.
