www.stoneysclub.com.au The netball girls also had a tough day at the office with each of the www.tripodfarmers.com.au teams unfortunately losing except for the ‘B’ Graders who had a great 14 goal victory. With the finals only a couple of weeks away, we still have a couple of teams still in the running to play finals, the ‘A’ Reserves are holding onto 6th position and the ‘B’ graders (with their great win on the weekend) have given themselves a chance depending on results over the next couple of weeks. It has been a long season for these girls who are playing multiple games each weekend and have continually given their ALL each and every time. This weekend Bacchus Marsh has a bye so it will give the teams an opportunity to freshen up prior to the last 2 games. The Bacchus Marsh Woman’s Football team played Melton Centrals on the weekend and after Melton got the jump on them for the first half of the 1st quarter, the girls quickly realised that they could match it with their bigger opponents. By half time the girls were Ph 5367 3211 only 8 points down and had some belief however, the wind picked up allowing Melton to dominate the game with the ball up there end for much of the third quarter and eventually ran out victors by 26 points. Best players on the day were K Woodroffe, E Crawford, The Village are Proud Sponsors of Bacchus A Bertram, C Leyton, A Callow & A Wallis. With 1 game to go, the Marsh Football and Netball Club girls take on Jacana (away) next weekend and a win ensures the girls play finals so please get along and give them your support.
