The $1500.00 Stimulus Rebate program on energy efficient home improvements is not ending! We’ve been inundated with calls from panicked shoppers and the story is always the same. They tell us a salesman from another company told them if they didn’t sign a contract immediately they will lose out on the rebate. Most of these unscrupulous sales people are using the end to the Cash for Cars program to scare people into making a quick and sometimes costly decision. The truth is very good news for homeowners. The $1500.00 Stimulus Rebate program on energy efficient home improvements is not ending!

From the very beginning of the program it was set to stay in place for all of 2009 and 2010. You unfortunately can only get the $1500 tax credit once but you can take your time shopping for the right products that fit your home. You may apply for the tax credit in smaller increments each of the 2 years but the maximum tax credit over the two year period can not exceed $1500.00. Just in case you’re not aware, a tax credit is a whole lot better then a tax deduction. A tax credit for $1500.00 will actually increase the amount of your refund or $1500.00 will be deducted from the amount you owe the government. It gets confusing for some people so we always recommend you speak to a tax preparer for all the details.

As of right now we have so many products that qualify. Just about any window we sell can qualify. We have Bay windows, Bow windows, Casements, Sliders, Double Hungs and even Basement windows that qualify. All of our Storm Doors, most of our Entry Doors, all of our Patio Doors and some of our Garage Doors qualify. We also sell Owens Corning Attic Insulation and special Siding Insulation that both qualify. This program gives homeowners by far the best prices on home improvements in over twenty years.

So don’t be fooled and take your time deciding. Don’t rush but get it done by the end of 2010 for sure. Shop around for the best prices on Qualified products and save all your paperwork. It’s that simple.
