Head became the first addition to Agnus Berenato’s staff, officially joining the Owls on April 26, 2016 and has now served four seasons as the Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator.

In four seasons with the Owls, Kennesaw State has a 39-76 record and two ASUN Tournament victories, including upsetting No. 2 Stetson in the 2019 championship.

She has recruited and coached three consecutive ASUN Freshman of the Year winners and helped Alexis Poole earn the league’s scoring title in 2019-20 on her way to being named the Atlanta Tipoff Club Player of the Year in the state INTERIM of Georgia. HEAD COACH Prior to coming to Kennesaw State, Head was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator under Berenato from 2010 to 2013 at Pittsburgh.

While at Pitt, Head was involved in all aspects of the women’s basketball pro- gram, which included recruiting, game planning, position-specific training for the point guards and academic advancement. The Panthers’ 2011 recruiting class was ranked 19th-nationally, the highest-ranked class in school history. In- cluded in that class was Brianna Kiesel, who was drafted out of Pitt by the Tulsa Shock in the second round of 2015 WNBA Draft and plays for the Dallas Wings.

Since leaving Pitt, Head successfully launched her own internet marketing company “The Recruiting U,” in which she aids small businesses to build an online presence through web development and social media marketing.

An Atlanta native that attended Woodward Academy, Head won two state ti- tles at Woodward before a successful four-year playing career at Murray State University. She graduated from MSU cum laude in 2003 with a degree in orga- nizational communication, then earned a master’s degree in sports manage- ment in 2004 from Slippery Rock University, where she also spent one year as a graduate assistant coach.

Head joined Berenato’s staff at Pitt following a successful stint as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Middle Tennessee State University from 2007-10, helping guide the Blue Raiders to NCAA Tournament appearances in 2009 and 2010. Head compiled a top-25 recruiting class in 2009 and another impressive class in 2010. She was instrumental in signing three “Tennessee Miss Basketball” winners over her final three seasons.

Prior to her service with MTSU, Head was an assistant coach and director of basketball operations at the University of Arkansas from 2005-07. Head de- veloped scouting reports, game strategies and recruiting correspondences in addition to assisting in the coordination of camps, planning travel and over- seeing the ordering, managing, and distribution of apparel for the women’s basketball team.

As an advocate of continuous professional development, Head is a recent graduate of Emerging Administrators Academy. Before that Head also com- pleted the NCAA Women Coaches Academy as well as the NCAA and BCA Achieving Coaches Excellence (ACE) Program. Head also served on the selec- tion committee for the WBCA’s “So You Want To Be A Coach” program from 2013 to 2014.

In 2015, Head and her teammates were inducted into the Woodward Academy Athletic Hall of Fame.
