2018 MTSS Recognition Summary 2018 MTSS Recognition Summary This document provides information about MIBLSI’s 2018 Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Recognition process and the resulting ISDs, districts, and schools identified for recognition. Author: Michigan’s Integrated Behavior and Learning Support Initiative (MIBLSI) Version: 1.0 Date: April 2018 Summary Michigan’s Integrated Behavior and Learning Support Initiative is pleased to announce that 245 Michigan schools, 28 districts, and 7 ISDs have been recognized for their MTSS implementation through February of 2018. Sites were recognized based on capacity or fidelity data entered into the MIBLSI Database. This public recognition represents the beginning stages of work on the road to a more fully developed recognition process in the future. Congratulations to all of these recognized sites for your outstanding efforts implementing MTSS! The dedication of everyone involved is to be commended. We encourage you to share this good news with your staff, students, as well as district and ISD leadership, families, and community partners. A poster and presentation at the 2018 MIBLSI State Conference will formally announce recognized sites. The complete list of recognized sites can be found below. ISD and District Recognition Criteria • Based on scores from the District Capacity Assessment (DCA) or Regional Capacity Assessment (RCA) • Fall 2017 data must have been collected and entered into MIDATA • Winter 2018 scores must have been collected and entered into MIDATA by 2/28/18 • At least one of the following must be true when analyzing scores: o Winter 2018 RCA or DCA Total Score is 80% or higher o When comparing Fall 2017 and Winter 2018 Total Scores, there has been an improvement of at least 10 percentage points 2018 MTSS Recognition Summary (April 2018) Michigan’s Integrated Behavior and Learning Support Initiative (MIBLSI) is a Grant Funded Initiative (GFI), funded under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) through the Michigan Department of Education. 1 ISDs and Districts Identified for 2018 Recognition ISDs 1. Whitehall District Schools 2018 MTSS Recognition Summary (April 2018) Michigan’s Integrated Behavior and Learning Support Initiative (MIBLSI) is a Grant Funded Initiative (GFI), funded under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) through the Michigan Department of Education. 2 School Recognition Criteria • Based on school scores from the School-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports Tiered Fidelity Inventory (SWPBIS TFI) and Reading Tiered Fidelity Inventory (R-TFI) • At least one Tier 1 score must have been collected and entered into MIDATA by 1/31/18 and have been collected since the 2016-17 school year. • At least one of the following must be true when analyzing SWPBIS TFI and R-TFI scores: o Most recent Tier 1 score on SWPBIS TFI and/or R-TFI is at or above criterion (70% and 80% respectively) o There has been an improvement of at least 10 percentage points when comparing at least the two most recent Tier 1 scores on SWPBIS TFI and/or R-TFI Schools Identified for 2018 Recognition 1.
