The Tigers are now 8-0-0 when leading after two periods, 8-1-0 in the second game of a weekend series and 10-0-0 when scoring at least fi ve goals in a game this season. RIT swept AIC 5-3 and 6-1 last weekend. RIT trailed 3-2 with under four minutes to play on Friday before scoring three times to get the win. RIT is now 12-2-1 all-time against AIC. Eighteen diff erent Tigers scored at least a point in the two wins over AIC. RIT has sole possession of fi rst place in Atlantic Hockey with 27 points, two points behind fi rst place Air Force. It is the fi rst time RIT has led Atlan- tic Hockey since the end of the 2006-07 season. RIT leads all of Division I with eight shorthanded goals. RIT is now up to fourth in Division I in scoring, averaging 3.67 goals per game. The Tigers have incredibly balanced scoring, with six players scoring at least 19 points and nine in double digits. Senior forward Brennan Sarazin scored twice and added an assist in the fi nal 3:43 of regulation in Friday’s 5-3 win. Sarazin recorded eight points during a three-game stretch. Dan Ringwald is tied for fourth among all Division I defensemen with 19 assists and eighth with 22 points. Sophomore Andrew Favot has 13 points (3-10-13) during a nine-game point scoring streak. He has an assist in eight straight games, tying a school record. Junior forward Ma Crowell has seven goals in his last six games and 14 points (7-7-14) during a nine-game point streak. He has a goal in six straight games, a team record. Freshman Tyler Brenner has a eight-game point scoring streak (3-8-11). Freshman forward Mark Cornacchia recorded his fi rst collegiate point, an assist on Saturday. Senior goaltender Louis Menard is 30-7-6 all-time in AHA regular season play. RIT players are a combined plus-105 in AHA play. RIT’s power-play was 4-for-11 over the weekend and are now 15th nationally. The Tiger penalty-killing was perfect on the weekend, stopping all eight AIC power-play a empts. RIT has 11 power-play goals in six games in 2009. RIT is 11-for-36 (30.5 percent) during that span. The Tigers will look to stay hot this weekend, as they travel to play Canisius at Buff alo State Ice Arena. Canisius is coming off a sweep of #15 Air Force in Colorado Springs. Thursday game starts at 7:05, while Sunday’s contest is at 4:05 p.m. It is the only two regular season meetings between the two teams. Last year, the two teams split four games, with the home team winning each time.

Sacred Heart: The Pioneers were swept in Erie over the weekend by scores of 2-1 and 7-0. SHU has just one win away from home this year, going 1-8-1. The Pioneers have lost 16 of their last 20 games away from Milford, going 3-16-1 away from home since the Christmas Break last season. SHU has been shutout fi ve times this year, equalling the amount of times they have been shutout in the last four years combined. Senior Bear Trapp needs two more assists to move into second place in SHU history. Goaltender Stefan Drew made 34 and 32 saves in the two games and has now made at least 30 saves in nine of his 19 starts this weekend. The Pioneers will host Bentley in a two game series at the Milford Ice Pavilion this weekend.
