He is also President of the Greater Texarkana Branch of the NAACP. He has taught every math class from developmental mathematics through calculus. Because of his tireless efforts, Robert has received numerous awards and recognitions. He was the Volunteer of the Year for the city of Texarkana, Texas, Wilbur Smith award winner for working with youth, Alumni Brother of the Year for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and Sam’s Club Teacher of the Year, just to mention a few. He serves as the advisor to the Black Student Association at Texarkana College and mentor for the Texarkana Independent School District.
