Vive la France! Take a look under the hood! SCS Software - makers of vehicle simulation It's time to start showing you more stuff from the various new things we have in the games including 18 Wheels of Steel Series, Bus Driver, and Euro Truck pipeline. We are not a one-project-at-a-time company any more, there are several Simulator. Currently working hard on Euro new cool things under development in our labs now! Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. Euro Truck Simulator 2 map team is hard at work on a new major DLC expansion for the game. We are expanding the little bit of France we have in the game now to cover the whole country. This also includes a lot of touches to the existing areas SCS Links (total overhaul of Paris region for example). The changed parts of the world will of SCS Software course still be accessible in the base game, even if they are upgraded visually. Euro Truck Simulator 2 Here is a couple of appetizer images from a more rural part of the world. Paul Guy February 18, 2016 at 8:52 PM Very nice work on the France expansion, really looking forward to exploring this! I would like to see the 'dashed line' that separates the Hard Shoulder on France's Motorways, like they do in Reality ;)! It would have that more authentic look and feel I think.

I completely agree about keeping comments on here family friendly - People need to think about who else could be reading the blog, i.e. the Trucking industry and SCS Software who are hard at work, delivering to us the best they possibly can need all the help they can get, and it wouldn't look that good if they saw petty bickering and negative criticism on here!

This is after all a company blog which is part of an important professional image that a company like SCS has to convey to be taken seriously.

Так как вы не все мелочи внесли на карту, и в сравнение с АТS, ЕТS2 смотреться убого. И с этим ETS2 стала менее интересной и скучной!!! Охота чтобы ETS2 стала привлекать, своей красотой. Для этого нужно провести глобальную реконструкцию игровой карты, и чтобы города были идентичны реальным прототипам, и таких размеров как в ATS.

Request for You SCS Software, a global reconstruction of the ETS2 game cards, namely those countries that initially you put in the game: France, Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, etc. Since you are not all things made on the card, and in comparison with IT, ЕТЅ2 look pathetic. And with this ETS2 has become less interesting and boring!!! Hunting to ETS2 attracted, by its beauty. You have to do a global reconstruction of the map, and that the cities were identical to the real prototypes, and such dimensions as in the ATS. Reply

Unknown February 18, 2016 at 5:27 PM Oh! This is awesome. Can actually feel the rural side of things. Glad France is finally being added into the game to fill the whole of France.

The thing people forget when whining is that you shall also get your Spain & Portugal side, just that it takes time. Quality & art takes time, and I'm happy it took them this long to do France with an overhaul + whole of France. People being greedy.

If we're being greedy, then it be awesome if they go back to do Slovakia, Bratislava to make use of that 'UFO Bridge (Most SNP) so we can drive on that bridge & deliver food goods into the main historical area of town.

We ask, and ask, and ask, and all you give us is updates that in most cases are not what we want. We want detailed roads, cities, more assets, better physics, tandem trailers, we don't want just to sit in truck and drive through boring Germany for hours. Going east DLC and Scandinavia are great..but if I start in Milano, I can't wait to come in Denmark to see something better than rest of map.DOn't bother with stupid updates you give us, do something useful, SCS. France DLC? You shouldn't even think about release without Spain and Portugal, why do you even bother with that? You should better rebuild basic map and do something about directx.You are waisting your potential and potential of basic map. Greettings from your fan. Reply

Rafael Braz February 18, 2016 at 9:08 PM I do hope to either have this DLC for free as a simples map expansion & refurbish, or either delay the launch to have the time to produce the whole Iberic peninsula & Italy. We have been present and patient supporters of the game since these countries were on the very first Euro Truck Simulator, and have been disappointingly waiting for this to happen in ETS2. Of course we like to see a game that we paid for getting bigger and better, but it always hurts to see that update after update, we are still waiting, while then new ATS, ETS2's trucks, cargoes, paintjobs, and countries/cities are getting expanded... and we will keep waiting for this to happen... if ever. And then some people say: "Patience, and step by step"... Fellas, in a couple of years time, ETS2 engine and gfx will become old and obsolete, and you'll be thinking of ETS3 or something - so expanding it won't be an option by that time. We are seriously tired of waiting. In short, I haven't bought Scandinavia because of the absurd price practised, even now a year or so after. And I sure love ETS2, but I refuse to pay for content of a country i rightfully own since the day i bought it, and only one country, leaving as always the Iberic Peninsula and Italy behind. It's just not fair, and not a correct way to act towards your western europe fans. Reply
