parrow Processors Group, the youth group from Siaya County that recently won the best award in an SAgribusiness competition pitting Bungoma, Kakamega and Siaya Counties is a classical case study of what young college students can do for themselves with local government support and technological innovation through value addition.

Through their partnership with the Agriculture Sector Development Support Program (ASDSP) under the support of The Kenyan, Swedish and Siaya Governments, the youth group has innovated a mango fruit processing plant domiciled at the Siaya Agricultural Training Centre, now with a branch off in fruit wine processing additional facility.

The group’s wine and mango fruit processing ideas are Agribusiness initiatives aimed at transforming crop, livestock day from the sales.
