Sarvajanik Education Society On 1st October 1912, a seed of Good and affordable Education was sown, which has grown into a huge Banyan tree, which shelters culture and liberal Education - named Sarvajanik Education Society. It registered under the society's registration act "XXI -1860-" in 1912.

Sarvajanik Education Society is Ten decades old and has been serving the nation by imparting quality education. The single minded selfless devotion, which was the life-blood of the pioneers of the Society, inspired a series of selfless workers and public spirited men to volunteer to dedicate themselves to the service of the Sarvajanik Education Society, which is now one of the largest philanthropic societies in the whole country. Sarvajanik Education Society runs in a fully democratic manner, functioning in accordance with the guidelines set up unanimously by the founders, the government, university and the All India Technical Education (AICTE).

Vision of Sarvajanik Education Society

“To extend myself in knowledge and service TO INSPIRE, FACILITATE AND MOTIVATE the torch-bearers for tomorrow…”

Their boundless enthusiasm and courage, their untiring zeal and patience, their practical wisdom and sagacity, in their untiring efforts in the cause of Education headed by their able leaders, led them from venture to venture and dame fortune smiled on them leading from success to success. The Sarvajanik Education Society aims in providing and spreading quality education. It also aims to establish, takeover, or affiliate with educational institutes such as colleges and high, middle, vocational, technical and primary schools at suitable places so as to spread education as well as to make education easily accessible. Society imparts high quality education from pre- primary to the post graduate level in 33 institutions where more than 33,000 students strive to build up their future. Every 5th citizen of the Surat city is the student of the Sarvajanik Education society.

Sarvajanik College of Engineering & Technology (Estd. 1995)

Philosophy of the Institute…

"To Form Intellectually Competent, Professionally Skilled, Spiritually Evolved, Morally Upright, Socially Responsive, Culturally Tolerant Citizens through Holistic Sarvajanik Technical Education for Creation of Progressive Civilization"

The Institute has very good infrastructures of buildings and labs suited to the education as required for the offered Engineering Discipline course in particular. The institute aims to provide the best studio facilities to its students. At present the institute has around Sixty three laboratories (including workshops). Laboratories of every course being offered here, are in place and operational with the best hardware as well as software tools to impart a higher quality of education. This improves the process of understanding and inquisitiveness, which are very inadequate in the prevailing system of education. Each department in the institute is equipped with its own computer lab and relevant software. The Faculty of Civil Engineering is also blessed with qualified faculties to meet the requirement of the proposed course. All faculties possess post- graduate degrees from the reputed institutes like IITs, IISC, NITs and BITs etc. The department also has faculties pursuing doctoral degree.

In continued efforts to strengthen post-graduate studies in engineering, technology and applied sciences and to address the need for specialized technocrats, institute plans to start more post graduate programme in Civil Engineering.

Dr. Nimesh Vashi Center of Relevance & Excellence in Environmental Engineering laboratory of the Sarvajanik Education Society which is a prominent laboratory in Surat and South Gujarat, providing its services in testing of environmental parameters has been granted the prestigious NABL Accreditation up to April, 2021.

SCET is an Institute dedicated to quality education, established with a motive of contributing to the progress of the society by providing well equipped tools and techniques and highly dedicated, well qualified, profusely knowledgeable

and experienced team of faculty members in all fields. Curriculum based theoretical and practical knowledge dissemination is augmented by industry- defined projects providing exposure to real life and real time problems and make students Industry ready. We support and encourage sports and cultural activities including NSS and NCC, participation in regional as well as national level competitions. Dr. Hiren Patel I feel privileged to invite students seeking quality engineering education, Principal, SCET, Surat academicians, recruiters and industry professionals to experience the vibrancy with the budding technocrats of future, at SCET.

Vision To empower education by practical understanding and actions to sustain natural and engineered environmental systems. The degree is research- based and focuses on the technical and environmental sciences. Mission Encourage students to gain technical, design and management skill required for academic excellence to resolve sustainable solutions to complex environmental problems while taking into account social, legal, economic and resource issues.

ABOUT US At the present department is running M.E in Environmental Engineering program since 2011 with the annual intake of 18+02 (EWS) students. PG course having 4 semester structures and the program is affiliated with Gujarat Technical University, Ahmedabad. Admission process is carried out by JACPC (Joint Admission Committee for Professional Courses), Ahmedabad. (http://www.jacpcldce.ac.in/me.asp). To seek admission one need to appear for entrance exam, conducted by GTU after finishing their graduation in Environment Engineering or Civil Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Biotechnology. Admission is given based on GATE score and common entrance test conducted by GTU. Priority is given to students having GATE score. Using the principles of engineering, communication and research skill, Environmental Engineers develop solutions to environmental problems related to water and air pollution control, recycling, waste disposal, and public health issues. Environmental engineers design municipal water supply and industrial wastewater treatment systems. They conduct research on proposed environmental projects, analyze scientific data, and perform quality control checks. They provide legal and financial consulting on matters related to the environment. Environmental engineers are concerned with local and worldwide environmental issues. Environmental engineers study and attempt to minimize the effects of acid rain, global warming, automobile emissions, and ozone depletion. They also are involved in the protection of wildlife.

Welcome to FCE-SCET Family... Learn here well and make

better world...

Our best wishes for bright future and prove your-self best

for the society.
