Match points - Points are awarded for each match played in the qualifying round, elite round and final tournament group stage - Match points; Victory = 3 pts; Draw = 1 pt; Defeat = 0 pts
Bonus points - maximum 6 pts per season - Automatic qualification for the elite round: 1 point - Qualification from the qualifying round to the elite round: 1 point - Qualification from the elite round to the final tournament: 2 points Results obtained during the final tournaments: - European Champions = 3 additional bonus points i.e. FRA (2015/16), ENG (2016/17), POR (2017/18), ESP (2018/19) - European runners-up = 2 additional bonus points i.e. ITA (2015/16), POR (2016/17), ITA (2017/18), POR (2018/19) - European semi-finalists = 1 additional bonus point i.e. POR & ENG (2015/16), CZE & NED (2016/17), UKR & FRA (2017/18), IRL & FRA (2018/19) Final tournament hosts: - An association that has hosted a FT in any of the 4 seasons taken into account for the coefficients will have no points from the corresponding qualifying competition. By way of compensation, the host association receives 3 bonus points: GER (2015/16), GEO (2016/17), FIN (2017/18) & ARM (2018/19) Each association's qualifying round coefficient is calculated by adding up the points obtained in a given season, dividing the total by the number of qualifying competition and final tournament group stage matches played, adding the bonus points to produce the coefficient for that season and adding together the four season coefficients to produce the overall qualifying round coefficient. Associations with the same overall coefficient have been separated according to the following criteria: 1) Higher number of matches 3) Higher coefficient for the 2017/18 season 5) Higher coefficient for the 2015/16 season 2) Higher coefficient for the 2018/19 season 4) Higher coefficient for the 2016/17 season 6) Superior goal difference for the 2018/19 season
