PRACTICE All practice will be as per the Official AMA Pro Racing Schedule. Motorcycles must be legal for any class entered at all times when on track.

QUALIFYING Riders in all classes, with the exception of Superbike, must be within 110% of the fastest official qualifying time for their class. Riders in Superbike must be within 108% of the fastest official qualifying time. Results of all timed qualifying sessions, as well as grid sheets for all finals will be posted in the AMA Pro Racing’s Tech Garage. The maximum number of riders for Supersport, Superstock and Formula Xtreme final events is 44 and 36 for Superbike. Pole position is right side. Riders may only continue to practice in classes that they have earned a grid position for.

Procedure for splitting all classes into two groups for qualifying sessions: • Best time for each rider from the first day of official practice sessions will determine which group riders are placed in. • Group 1 will be the slower half, group 2 the faster half. If groups cannot be divided equally, the extra rider will be placed in group 1. • A list of riders in each group will be posted following the first day of practice. It is the responsibility of each rider to qualify with the correct group. Riders that qualify in the wrong group will be placed (if qualified) at the back of the grid for the race. • If it is determined by AMA Pro Racing that track conditions have changed significantly between the two qualifying sessions, group 2 riders will be placed on the grid in front of group 1 riders. Each group will be sorted by times from their respective sessions. A point for earning pole position will be awarded.

PROCEEDURES FOR QUALIFYING 1) Heat races or timed qualifying may be used for qualifying.

2) For events requiring timed qualifying:

a) Schedule of timed qualifying sessions and number of qualifying positions will be listed in the Supplementary Regulations or the race schedule.

b) The Race Director will make every attempt to run a qualifying session for all classes. Should, circumstances prevent the scheduled qualifying session(s) for one or more classes from being run, the next scheduled timed practice for the affected class(es) will be deemed a qualifying session.

c) If no further timed practice is available or is unable to be run, the grid will be set based on the timed laps from all previous practice sessions run by the affected class(es). No pole position point will be awarded in this circumstance.

d) Should no timed laps be available to set the grid, the grid will be set as follows: Pre-entered riders based on current point standings Post-entered riders based on current point standings Pre-entered riders without points by date of entry Post-entered riders by order of entry No pole position point will be awarded should circumstances require the grid to be set by either procedure 2. c) or 2. d).

An optional sighting lap behind a pace vehicle may be taken by participants prior to the warm-up lap. Riders must start that lap no later than 1 minute from the opening of the track for that purpose.
