The purpose of this directory is to enhance awareness of, and access to, local resources specific to positive youth development and family wellness. The information provided was gathered through online surveys of area residents as well as through research of larger, regional directories. First, we have the annual Black & Gold Dinner Auction, the most important fundraiser of the year for St. Raphael the Archangel School. So many, many thanks go to Jaime Richards and her friends and family - she has worked tirelessly to make this the best auction ever, and I know she could not have done it without the support of all those who love her. There are too many parents, teachers, and parishioners to name who have helped prepare for the auction, and who will be working this weekend to make the event a success. Thanks to all of you! In the midst of all the auction preparation, our school community stepped up to help other students in need and we did it in typical SRA Fabulous Style! Through the efforts of Mrs. Runiewicz, Ms. Wood, Miss Amsler, Mrs. Berns, and Miss Imo, our school raised over $800 in less than a week to donate to the schools in Louisiana that have been destroyed by the flooding there. We also donated extra desks, chairs, books and cabinets to help these schools get back on their feet. This entire effort is being supported by Channel 2 and their Saturday morning show, ThreadUp STL. We welcomed their TV crew on Wednesday morning when they picked up all of the donated items and funds - what a great way to show our SRA Spirit! And finally, we are all watching carefully as the Archdiocese is making decisions about the future of some of our neighboring parish schools.

    It starts here 2018 ANNUAL REPORT Where does change come from? How does a movement begin and grow? You can wait on the world to change, but I believe it starts here: in our city, our neighborhood, our home, inside each of us. How can we ever break the cycle of poverty in St. Louis? Little Bit believes it starts with the dreams and ambitions, along with the character and education of every child. Our purpose is to help break down barriers to learning while building up students’ confidence, dignity and all the other qualities that lead to success. It’s about educational equity – and bridging divides with love and kindness – and it begins with every one of us. The movement we started in 2001 experienced some of its greatest momentum in the last fiscal year. For the first time, we moved into our own space – a 33,000 sq. ft. building to accommodate exploding operations and a growing staff (now over 20 strong), and a place we can finally call home. We found a new home in four schools, three in the Riverview Gardens School District, where we have committed to be serving all 13 schools in the district by the fall of 2019. These adoptions brought our total number of students reached to more than 9,700 in 31 schools. We expanded programming in STEM learning, food access and behavioral health and welcomed well over 1,000 new faces to Little Bit (including an NFL star), who found an outlet for their desire to be the difference.
