DRY STORAGE POLICY

To promote participation in dinghy sailing classes, the EYC welcomes members and sponsored guests to use its dry sailing facilities to dry during the spring, summer and fall racing seasons subject to the following Rules:

1) Prior to arrival ALL dinghies must be registered with the Dock.master and complete the Dry Sail Storage Application (available on the website or at the club). A permit sticker will be provided and must be affixed to the transom of the boat. Fleet Representative will provide a list of member and non member boats prior to the first day of the Full Season or first day of each off Season, Laser Rep will include the following information on the list – Owner Name, Sponsor Name if Non Member, Boat Name, Hull ID, Hull Color.

2) The designated storage area will be determined by the Waterfront Committee and is subject to change during the season. Lasers must use the rack provided in the dry sail area with preference for dolly stored boats to EYC members and sponsored guests using the upper rack spots. All Lasers must be stored on racks as provided by the club. During the Fall/Spring seasons, member Lasers may be stored on dollies, in the designated Laser storage area. Non-member Lasers must be stored in the provided racks at all times, for all seasons.

3) The full-season fee for dry sailing dolly-launched dinghies shall be $175.00, and will be charged to the Member' s Club account. Summer dry sailing permit holders are also entitled to store and race their dolly launched dinghies during the spring, summer and fall dinghy sailing seasons.

4) Participating guests are permitted to store and dry sail their dinghy at the EYC as long as they are sponsored by a Member. The sponsoring Member is responsible for registering their guests per #1 above and the storage fee shall be charged to the sponsoring Member's Club account. Sponsored guests are only allowed use of the facility on a sponsored race day. Full season fee for a sponsored guest shall be $220.00.

5) The dinghy dry sailing permit shall run from the beginning of the Spring Series through the completion of the Fall Series, as determined by the Club Calendar. Dinghies shall not arrive prior to the start of the Spring Series or linger after the last day of the Fall Series unless they are participating in Winter Storage or a special arrangement has been made in writing with the Dockmaster, mike [email protected].

6) Owners of dolly-launched dinghies wishing to participate in ONLY the fall and/or spring sailing season (April-May, or October-November) shall complete the EYC Dry Sailing Application, pay a "competitors off season rate" (currently $50 for members and $60 for sponsored members for the Spring series and/or $50 for members and $60 for sponsored members for the Fall series) and receive an EYC dry sailing permit sticker which they will affix to their boat as described in #1 above. Such boats must be removed from the dry sailing area promptly at the end of the Spring or Fall Frostbite season.

7) Failure to complete the EYC Dry Sailing applications, display the EYC dry sailing sticker or follow these rules may result in the suspension of Dry Sailing privileges and/or the removal of the boat (at the risk and expense of the Member or Sponsor Membert) from the EYC property without notice.

All participants are subject to the Waterfront Policies and Rules as listed in the Yearbook, as they maybe modified from time to time..
